election results in 2024..PTI in 2018 just a pukhtun based party literally surged in Punjab and karachi to emerge as the largest party with 114 seats in the national assembly...Though imran did not win a majority in 2018 even he failed in 2024 because of more cooperation between the PMLn and PPP and the collapse of the majlis amal and the breakup of imrans coalition whom he derogatorily alleged were trying to blackmail him alongwith losing the backing of the army and the resurgence of the mqm-P and JUIf...there is a large difference in the 2018 upright imran the cricket captain and the dubius looter/crazy politician imran in 2024 and the running after money, embezzler of party funds/funds from dubious contractors..looting state gifts and using a foreign office cipher for propaganda the world over..his mean and nasty influencers also did not help his cause...the PTI used to lap up everything the PTI influencers put out...

  • Jul27-2009--In what can only be said tobe an inability to get constitutional change the PPP regime abdicated all responsibility for the LG system and said that provinces can do with it what they want...many suggest that even if the provinces are responsible for designing their own systems it is teh responsibility of teh center to at least give an overall legislation giving such responsibility to teh provinces..the center should at least ensure that it is a democratic process and does not turn into an autocratic dictatorship of teh chief ministership as envisaged by the punjab PMLn...
  • Jul27-2009--The PPP also tried to show that it did not have a duality inits views about musharaf and would allow teh courts to decide the various issues related to musharafs coup initiated rule...there have been varying signals from teh PPP with one sindhi member saying that musharaf was a personal friend...many have opined that many in the PPP heirarchy had actually been advising musharaf in various sinister ways...

    total humiliation...India had steadily destabilized east pakistan over twenty years playing on ethnic, financial, development and military concerns...pakistan was not that rich at that time and the ethnicists played on phsychosis generated by cyclones, floods, tea and jute...the army and west pakistani politicians could not accept a bengali dominated government and a small army contingent could not defend against the mukti bahini and the indians as teh US withdrew its support as usual...When teh going gets tough teh US chickens out as usual...!! The indians have continued teh same themes in karachi, sindh and balochistan but similar tougher responses have not allowed their success although pakistan is now at best a divided land with a pathetic center...!!While it left pakistan numb at the time many now feel the seperation was a proper solution as east pakistanis did not get along with pakistan and they would be better able to solve their problems with india...others still pine away for the lost land of rivers, tea and jute...others suggest that india should handover kashmir in exchange...while some still want to repatriate those considered pakistanis and left stranded in bangladeshi camps...others however heave a sigh of relief as teh problems with the remaining provinces are generally insoluble.....and ethnic regionalism or provincialism mixed with economic and racial nonsense is not a pleasant mode of politics anyway...
