Aug25-2009--The government seems to be more interested in taxation for teh sake of taxation as is demonstrated in teh sugar case...while it is an essential food item which are generally exempted from taxation teh government makes Rs12 billion from it annually...reduction in taxation is referred to as a loss to the government which is obviously incorrect as the opposite would be taxation is a loss to teh consumers or people...the government which has been earning from sugar sales and imports should end its massive involvement and should only involve itself with the sale price...according to dawn millers are still earning Rs13-14 per kilogram and teh provincial and federal governments are also earning profits...teh government should end sales taxes on sugar as well as teh profits that it earns...benefiting the people is the last thing on the mind of the federal government which is bent upon benefiting each every stakeholder barring teh ordinary public...

Aug25-2009--Altaf Hussein who has forgotten conveniently teh situation that they had brought karachi to what with ethnic seperatism,murders, robberies, bhatta,torture cells, nogo areas etc.. even if we forget their aims of seperating karachi from sindh and turning it into a hongkong...aims of secession were widely known and control of foreign interests was also known...how such a history of violence can be wiped out when altaf hussein supported the lal masjid and tribal areas devastation...it is quite contradictory...obviously the military had to act as altaf husseins men had already started attacking teh military and police which continues into teh present day politics of karachi...while General Asif Nawaz clearly sought verbal approval from Nawaz Sharif...it is rumoured that he queried nawaz sharif in punjabi..."keh peh jawan ne"(should i attack them)... teh situation in karachi at that time was even more serious than that in teh tribal territories...As politicians have realized after the bloody tribal war it is the army that has the resources to deal with open secessionistic activities, ethnic, political or religious warfare...The countries politics is such that nobody will accept ethnically outside political interests not in karachi and not anywhere else..an organization that shies away from renaming itself properly and using notions of its earlier ethnic hatred oriented politics inits name which was clearly geared against pakistan...feudalism does not exist in karachi and altaf husseins domination over teh mqm is also feudalistic as is the nature of its present allies..The ISI and the MI are designed to fight such politics otherwise pakistan would be in tatters in no time...as are other forces of terror which politicians are now well aware off...

Aug25-2009--undercurrents of disapproval for the anti people yusuf raza gilani in the PMLn being aired by the press...not many approve of yusuf raza gilanis primeministership..he is seen as less than perfect in the copycat role of military governance left behind by musharaf...with no personal popularity he is seen by many as attempting to copy the attitudes of previous primeministers as zardari prempts him in politics, foreign affairs, appointments and financial fields...he is left to deal with minor political matters and attempts at showing that he has some decision making role...

Aug25-2009--PMLn says it did not approve of teh actions of the military in karachi...in 1992...while karachis law and order had deteriorated to such an extent that rangers, police and army all together were finding it hard to handle the situation...the corp commanders were in charge as they remained until altaf hussein fled and teh situation only eased after massive police raids and operations...
