Aug3-2009--The christians turned teh gojra village incident into a drama calling in civil rights organisers and blocking the rail track for six hours until christian ministers showed them an FIR including the DCO and DPO for negligence..65 people were arrested with reports of inciendary devices being used and masked miscreants from jhang...rumors that foreign interests had paid for the unrest..compensation offered by provincial minister...obviously provincial government slow to call in relevant security forces... Aug3-2009--Sufi mohammed and company charged with various offences against the state that can jail them for life...the malakand based mullah who headed the TNSM has been at teh center of many controversies including unrest in malakand which has a thirty year history..sending forces to block the northern alliance in afghanistan when teh taleban military might collapsed and going to swat but being unable to stop the fazlulah led rebellion...many also accuse sufi of staging a drama to evacuate foreigners and arabs asociated with Fazlullah... Aug3-2009--wapda officials suggest that raja ashraf is crazy after he suggested conservation by shutting down wapda house airconditioners...many argue that since the people cant afford the governments expensive electricity the government might be left with expensive power houses lying around idle...the governments high cost rental plants which many say are owned by the operators are cited by some as teh cause of many of the problems..the government is supposedly buying rental power at 19 cents and many suggest that the government should cancel rental power contracts just like PCO judges...?...the government should ensure reasonable prices as electricity cannot be conserved...we have seen and suffered teh results of twenty years of saving electricity...maybe now that teh rupee is at 84 they should revise IPP and rental power prices downwards too.. Aug3-2009--UK's elected officials say they feel more threatened by pakistanis than al qaeda and afghan taleban in helmand... Aug3-2009--many say that the PPP regime will not last out 2010 as teh mqm is again fighting teh sindh chief minister over the power to sell land...and as is its history it is again in talks with nawaz sharif who has already refused once to topple the PPP... Aug3-2009--electricity companies of the government get a bonus pay for what can at best said to be bad service... Aug3-2009--four terrorists killed in various parts of swat and malakand Aug3-2009--seminary razed by police in lakki marwat Aug3-2009--explosion in a market in balakot as fleeing gunmen kill two policemen in peshawar Aug3-2009--five killed in raging torrent in neelum valley which also carries away a mosque, some houses and a small hydel power plant...
