Sep27-2009--tribal terrorists struck in peshawar and bannu with two suicide blasts killing 20...in bannu a police station was targeted and in peshawar teh askari bank...at times it seems as if teh taleban might be settling personal scores rather than just retaliating or fighting the government or police system...many in teh smaller provinces are known to oppose the police system and maybe using such public sentiments to gather support...taleban have lost considerable sympathies over teh last two years...rumours suggest that thirty more blasts are on their way...

Sep27-2009--The Kerry Lugar bill for aid to pakistan passes teh senate...presidential spokesman says the bills conditions if they impede aid flows will be handled at teh appropriate time...given the nature of the pakistan government with its anti people politics and economics there is very little interest in the aid bill publically since foreign aid has traditionally not been of any use to the masses in general...conditions in the troubled areas of nwfp especially donot seem to have improved to an extent where aid could be disbursed effectively...many suggest that teh aid will generally be used to cover resource constraints...

Sep27-2009--The government is again going to attempt a 6% energy price escalation which they say in three steps will raise electricity prices already almost doubled last year by another 20-25%...it will push electricity prices into a dangerous zone especially for agriculture , industry, commerce and high end users...with petroleum prices not having escalated too much the hike in prices is almost like taxation...many think that the government unable to pay for projects like bhasha is increasing prices to cover teh costs...

Sep27-2009--The maligned and anti people power minister has sent a notice for damages to faisal saleh hayat...many say that the corruption allegations are probably correct...rumours have it that Benazir started IPP's at 6 cents and lost power...now six cents are being distributed as rishwat...? After rental power are coming rental trains where the railways is trying to sell its train operations to its booking agent cum consultant...pepco chairman and PPP punjab president said rental power average cost was 11 cents..faisal saleh hayat said it would be 18.17 cents and raja ashraf said it was 15.99 cents..one assumes faisal saleh wanted his 3 cents and raja ashraf is taking around 5 cents.. Pepco says it will be earning 417 billion rupees including a 22% tax...the 52 billion government subsidy is therefore a hoax as it is being paid by high end consumers...high end consumers should go to court and charge teh government with excessive discrimination in charges...
