Nov13-2009--reports on corruption in the early nineties $900 million deal for six Agosta french submarines continued with Dawn reporting that the naval chief received $49.5 million and Asif Zardari $4.3 million thru a lebanese bussinesman...the french have also insinuated that sindhi politicians were involved in the bus blast of agosta french workers in karachi when they did not receive kickbacks..both reports seem frivolous to teh PPP and the french president who was teh finance minister at teh time...the deal that was completed in 2006 with the indigenous building of a submarine...the long timeframe project obviously makes huge kickbacks to one individual or another rather problematic as eveyone along teh way would have wanted a share and it would be difficult for any politician or naval chief to guarantee...other reports suggest that teh kickbacks amounting to 200 million probably rupees rather than dollars were later donated by teh french to relief work in pakistan...usually there is so much opposition towards deals with pakistan that kickbacks would probably be going in teh other direction...for example it would be more probable to believe that sarkozy received kickbacks to approve teh deal rather than some pakistani politician...nawaz sharif wants an investigation of the deal and given the history of NAB investigations and swiss and french investigations it would be impossible to find anything relevant...its almost like teh PPP governments giving useless advertisments to dawn as kickbacks...

Nov13-2009--In one of the many cricketing sagas another came to an end when younis khan dropped out of the team technically resigning from teh captaincy for teh fourth time..the aberrent behaviour of a supposedly good batsman who came into the team of a fine domestic record shows that not all players can be a good captain...the serious and religious mohd yousaf appointed captain with the problematic good bad keeper as vice captain...younis khan served as captain during teh attack on teh sri lankan team and was on the losing time mostly apart from the 20-20 championship after which he resigned...many suggest that he was poor strategically even though he came into the captainship with a movers and shakers reputation...others say that he could not get along with other strong willed players and started behaving beaurocratically while still others say he wanted major changes in teh team...a captain should never become isolated and should know what is happening and it is he who has to go to the players...with an old coach the entire burden of motivating players rests on the captain...

Nov12-2009--reports on the agosta submarine purchases suggest that 10 % kickbacks were given with 6% going to the navy and 4% to civilians..that would amount to over $90 million and looks highly unlikely...the army chief at that time was considered an upright person and he personally visited france to oversee the deal...how asif zardari amassed $1.8 billion with such tiny amounts is considered quite difficult...a man who could barely afford a new suit until he came to office like his primeminister who reportedly has never repaid a 200 million rupee loan...

Nov12-2009--The government which is attempting to fool teh peopel all the time day in and day out expects teh people to believe that a tiny amount in electricity tariff raises is problematic for the IMF which deals with billions of dollars or the overall economy...Teh government should realize that it should satisfy the people and not teh IMF...its supposedly small tariff raises have already more than doubled rates of electricity and made life difficult for many more people when coupled with all teh government orchestrated problems, price hikes and shortages......

Nov11-2009--Hersh now says that pakistan gave teh americans a computer look at their nukes to supposedly encourage india to withdraw from the eastern border and teh US said that they would fly in forces whenever they needed help against islamist guerrillas......as india said that we have 80 nukes targetted at us...however what conventional forces have todo with nukes is unclear...since the late eighties teh US has been working to discourage pakistan from standing upto india being a nuclear power...both musharaf and zardari have followed a similar weak we are wrong policy in defence matters...pakistans army too is known to have an inflated idea about its abilities since they are never questioned
