- Jul24-2020--Rumours and discussions by television panels suggest that governance in pakistan may have shifted backwards towards military dictatorship after no real reason could be offered for the unprecedented three years extension to teh army chief...The pathetic reasons offered by Gilani are that that now nobody can be kicked out before 2013...and that it is an administrative decision...that hardly seems tobe the case as many suggest that Kiani sat in the television speech room and that he had gradually orchestrated a reemergence of terrorist incidences to force Gilani into subjugation...others say that teh orders were given directly by GHQ...while military commentators suggested that that it was nothing out of the ordinary...That leaves a huge group of subordinate lietenant generals who will be retiring before end 2013 in fact only five are to retire after...in fact six will retire this year..11 next year...another two in 2012 and another four in 2013..a spate of resignation rumours are making the rounds...Kiani has been in power for five years with two years as the ISI chief and three as army chief...almost the duration of terrible terrorism and counter terrorism in pakistan...he will now be in power almost till the end of the american occupation in pakistan/afghanistan...others suggest that Kiani who also orchestrated Benazirs return and musharafs exit might have emerged stronger from teh power struggle with teh civilian setup...still others suggest that yusuf raza gilani who is at best a PPP puppet should be asked by Asif Zardari to take a vote of confidence...The PPP has made a bad decision and unless there was a coup threat any lt general could have been appointed and handled the things appropriately...many suggest that most of the lieutenant generals were close to musharaf and that could be one of the reasons for the PPP reluctance...however their backing down shows an inherent weakness in the PPP decision making process and the PPP's obvious inability to agree on a lietenant general for the future...many suggest that since the five will be close to retirement too when Kiani retires some new promoted lietenant general can be expected to take over unless Kiani starts to think of a ten year term like teh PPP...The present set of lietenant generals can thus be said tobe useless appendages waiting for their retirement...teh case of chairman joint staff gen tariq has not been mentioned yet whether he will retire or continue for three years too...ie administratively...!!!
- Jul23-2020--The PPP which many say is unable to rule sensibly and is only in power because of the army chief who prevents teh punjabis and mohajirs from toppling them from power has finally done what no civilian government has ever done...given an extension to a military appointed army chief...and not one or two years but a whopping three years...while benazir offered an extension to Wahid kaker it was declined...many say the experience of appointing army chiefs by civilians has backfired twice when zia ul haq and pervez musharaf couped...a new army chief usually signals a change in attitude, personality and probably tactics...it can easily cause a civilian government or primeminister tobe kicked out of power...so many suggest that the PPP is attempting to save its incomptent rule and rulers...Obviously teh country is now probably on for another three years of teh same ...high prices, power shortages, terrorism and army retaliations...and obviously inept governance which cant handle any issue...Ashfaq Pervez Kiani who is lucky tobe army chief has calmly handled the PPP's sloppy governing inability and slammed teh terrorists in Fata, malakand, dir and swat.....he has now appointed all the senior lt generals barring Shamim Wyne senior most after him and could cause some heart aches for the generals who will retire before him...many had suggested that one of those retiring in 2013 would be picked...Obviously the PPP has not seen any public support for its strange failed policies and governing ministers who include at least one fake Phd...nawaz sharifs strange alliance with the PPP has worked to the PPP benefit and kept them in power thru their multiple and unending disaster strokes...a government sitting and waiting for US orders to do even small tasks and those to it manages to mangle into an unsorted mess...Kiani's support of such governance as he looks over army management has been seen as servile and at times terrible..The PPP has kept the army subdued by a limitless flow of funds and salary hikes and unending problems for the populace which keeps the army happy and satisfied inits cocoon...while another army chief might have been a blessing it could have spelled trouble for the PPP regime and the PPP finally felt itself cornered into accepting ashfak pervez Kiani rather than another personality who could have insisted on at least another primeminister not associated with recent events...

- Jul20-2020--The pakistanis back down on suspicious moves initiated by amin fahim on allowing indians a trade corridor...afghan trucks cannot now pickup indian goods at wagah...
- Jul19-2020--In furthering its isolation from the people the PPP signs a suspicious looking transit agreement with afghanistan in which afghan trucks will pickup indian goods from wagah..or afghans will back their goods into indian trucks at wagah......many question the relevance, importance or value to pakistan...afghan transit trade has always been a smugglers route into teh pakistani market...the KP minister for railways shuts down famous trains like the Tezrao and many others in the punjab...despite having recently acquired chinese locomotives they complain of a lack of engines and profitability...what is profitability in a government run enterprise...others suggest that the railways too wants to increase freight trains for indian and US goods to afghanistan just like the afghan truck agreement...teh US seems tobe pushing its negative influences on the pathetic and brainless PPP regime...the afghan wagah truck agreement could provide another issue/opportunity for terrorists to terrorize and can only be considered terrible for pakistani truckers...the PPP seems tobe reeling from the fake degrees as its attempted victimisation of the HEC chief depicts...some bigwigs of the PPP in sindh have fake degrees it seems...many say ISI behind fake degrees...maybe all the state deptts should start a degree checking exercise too
