- Jul6-2010--many have questioned teh federal strategy of anti terrorism...they doled out swat, fata and malakand to the army to thrash them without interference(frightened of personal retaliation they hide in islamabad)......while mqms altaf hussein killed anybody(mqmh,police and pukhtuns mostly) opposing him in karachi...rehman malik(reknown for getting rishwat in the form of cars) is now claiming that there is peace in those areas while terrorism is rising in punjab which has been totally neglected by the army and federal governments...federal ministers have been happy to see teh PMLn struggling with terrorism and have been attacking them thru the likes of fauzia wahab(funds allocated by punjab for hafiz saeed) and baber awan(flying around illegally in the presidential plane distributing funds to poor lawyers)...many have suggested that terrorism is being coordinated by a PPP cell in nila gunbad which the PMLn threatened to invade and destroy...others threatened to beatup fauzia wahab for her lies against the PMLn..many suggest that the interior ministry which has been throwing funds at karachi and nwfp should give punjabs share in teh federal interior ministry budget to punjab immediately so that they can upgrade punjabs security while others say that the army should be deployed around lahore...PPP's punjab SSP brigade is trying to shore up support for its failing ministers amongst the terrorist faithful...while many say that the situation cannot be controlled by mullahs and there is no point in making mullah fight mullah and pir fight pir...?...others say that the PPP at the center has been totally enfeebled as teh indian and US strategies totally push them into a weak a bail muje mar position viz the bombay attacks and the almost continous indian supported insurgencies in pakistan...shabaz sharif says that he does'nt want a lal masjid type situation and will deal with terrorists on an individual basis..he obviously cant do much if they are all fata controlled as punjab does not have areas under terrorist control...

total humiliation...India had steadily destabilized east pakistan over twenty years playing on ethnic, financial, development and military concerns...pakistan was not that rich at that time and the ethnicists played on phsychosis generated by cyclones, floods, tea and jute...the army and west pakistani politicians could not accept a bengali dominated government and a small army contingent could not defend against the mukti bahini and the indians as teh US withdrew its support as usual...When teh going gets tough teh US chickens out as usual...!! The indians have continued teh same themes in karachi, sindh and balochistan but similar tougher responses have not allowed their success although pakistan is now at best a divided land with a pathetic center...!!While it left pakistan numb at the time many now feel the seperation was a proper solution as east pakistanis did not get along with pakistan and they would be better able to solve their problems with india...others still pine away for the lost land of rivers, tea and jute...others suggest that india should handover kashmir in exchange...while some still want to repatriate those considered pakistanis and left stranded in bangladeshi camps...others however heave a sigh of relief as teh problems with the remaining provinces are generally insoluble.....and ethnic regionalism or provincialism mixed with economic and racial nonsense is not a pleasant mode of politics anyway...
