• Dec16-2010--The PCB should tell its cricketers that they cannot keep huge amounts of money in their their rooms and open bank accounts for them on tours...many suggest that salman butt made the money by betting with the players while some suggest that he had imposed a bhatta tax of 2000 pounds per player...others suggest that teh team was betting collectively thru their agents on their own matches...Salman Butt was carrying around some say 20000-40000 pounds...others suggest that he made the money by just selling wickets on the tour...
  
• Dec16-2010--The mqm's failure to project itself as a mazloom as it terorrizes the karachi and sindh populace and dupes the PPP...the image that the mqm has is correctly described by the sindh home minister although one must say that facts must be described seriously rather than in a hot headed manner...the sindh interior minister must focus on nabbing all the killers that have been let loose in karachi by zardaris subjugation to the mohajir mentality...
  
• Dec16-2010--The swati-kazmi fiasco might be a desperate attempt by the PPP to continue its dictatorial anti people corruption muddled policies/politics...The PPP walas have shiite names and say that they are sunni which creates the dhokabaz image and why they have problems......instead of dirty politics the PPP should create a people friendly image which teh gilani-zardari government has attempted to destroy...the ppp has completely shifted from its socialistic people friendly image to a subjugation of the people by the wadera-industrial group thru price hikes and shortages.....its like they ridicule punjab..create problems for punjabs populace and cozy upto the mqm...there are no gas problems in karachi but punjab is made to suffer...maybe the PMLn too should try to fire a couple of PPP ministers...they will get a better response from teh PPP that way...The JUI might have been distanced so that they form the MMA so they can cut off some of nawaz sharifs vote bank...others suggest that it is part of the nura kushti manifesto of the zardari-gilani clique...

• Dec15-2010--The reluctant politician nawaz sharif could now go for the formation of the government too with possible coalition partners like teh PMlq, MQM, JUI or even the PPP,because PPP could lose both governments at the center and punjab in the evnt of a change in government...the PPP could also form a more viable government with the PMLq, ANP, Fata...!!
  
• Dec15-2010--In a show of bravado gilani fires warring and probably corrupt ministers azam swati and hamid kazmi...maulana fazlur rehman says he has quit the coalition...gilani a primeminister who is powerless and harbours a deep animosity towards the people has had little control over a cabinet and zardari doing whatever they please...many say without benazir there is no one in the PPP with sufficient power and control over policies although she too probably let things drift although she did have a conscience viz the people that is completely lacking in this government...hamid kazmi and secretary religious affairs also removed both belong to the gilani faction and many say it could be a matter of dividing the off take...the JUI had three ministers...PPP still has 185 supporters and teh opposition 155 with two seats empty...the ANP with 13, MQM with 25 and 11 fata members now have the PPP at its mercy...PPP could bring in the PMLq to make itself stronger although they would want at least the senate chairmanship and around 10 ministries or three to four important ministries or probably a government in the punjab...something teh PPP wont be ready for...the maulana already with three ministers with only seven NA and four senate seats could now ask for much more...kicking out the whistle blower and the accused shows that gilani is not a clean person with a grey understanding of most issues...
  
• Dec14-2010--Governor state bank says heavy government borrowing causes inflation...one wonders who loans them 1500 billion..?...unfortunately the inflation that he says is 66% is exactly equivalent to teh growth in revenues since 2007...?
  
• Dec14-2010--PPP to restart the failed privatisation drive which has only made the countries financial situation worse...the country was much better financially and stable politically with a state sector...one can remember the taseer statement in the benazir era that privatisation will end the foreign debt...upto now debt has almost tripled with no improvement in any sector barring communications, banking and education...depending on foreign expertise only denies jobs to pakistanis and transfers wealth overseas...The value of privatised entities is so low that it can hardly make any difference to teh economy...disparaging pakistani management is not a good image for teh countries future...teh current privatisation has caused uncertainty about jobs...a horrific price hike and also fuels the instincts of terrorism...despite twenty years of restructuring the financial minister makes the same repetitive statements...
  
• Dec14-2010--The impression from this years haj fiasco, accusations and ministerial involvement in corruption shows that PPP unable to deal with corruption amongst its own
  
• Dec14-2010--Sindh homeminister accuses mqm of running a terror campaign against other ethnicities and religious groups...says 26 mqm killers nabbed..mqm keeps its support base by violence against other groups...which dupes them into political subjugation...

• Dec13-2010--The pliable nawaz sharif expected to join teh RGST bandwagon just for an invitation to a presidential dinner..?
  
• Dec13-2010--As gas supplies to domestic consumers started to flicker in the cold north SNGPL cuts gas supplies to industrial units in the punjab..many suggest that the government has spread the use of gas too thinly and should work to reduce industrial and commercial demand as well...sindh probably dancing in glee at the punjab predicament...many suggest that industries and CNG stations which leech electricity and gas should be closed down country wide for a month...The government should stop all new activities that are based on a need for more gas and electricity until there is a surplus...eg setting up needless new industries(duplication in various provinces), plazas, housing estates, commercial activities like huge shopping plazas and new commercial areas...
  
• Dec12-2010--PCO judges say present SC composed of controversial pro martial law judges...who have personal animosities against them
  
• Dec12-2010--five inconsequential ministers lose cabinet positions as their ministries are handed over to provinces...population welfare barring the ads,special initiatives,youth affairs,zakat,local government already mostly handled by the provinces...
  
• Dec12-2010--Government touting national interest(which apparently means pampering sindhis and pukhtuns) in its support for unpopular undemocratic decision making...a statement that was attributed to the previous military dictator...basically its the dictatorial nature of our democracy , lack of consultation with party, people or mna's and no support from the people gives small groups in parliament the courage to standup to the brutal dictatorial PPP rule...and the anti democratic PPP just buys them out eventually for small favors..governments price hikes one of the most phenomenal in history and they have already increased taxation by 60%...RGST will only cause many products of daily use to become more expensive and taxes tobe almost doubled...what that will do to prices is almost a foregone conclusion...eg the ANP sold out for approval to the buying of expensive US locomotives...rather than chinese
  
• Dec11-2010--Nawaz sharif opposition to RGST lukewarm...as he wants to increase taxes too...with local body elections looming the PMLn can hardly portray itself as a government ally on a controversial tax hike for the equally controversial IMF tranche...The country has a sizable reserve and the next tranche and additional taxation which will inevitably cause a price hike spiral are not needed...Many also dislike the PPP's excessive sindhi mentality of provincialism and many think the national assembly should draw the boundaries of provincialism...things like teh countries ports and essential resources belong to sindh etc..are hardly advisable politics as are the provincialisation of tax collection which will only further teh roots of corruption...one country one FBR......
  
• Dec11-2010--As the wikileaks furore dies down the ministry of information run press has almost censored the news out of the media...wikileaks could probably find out which tv channels and newspapers are run by the ISI and MOI
  
• Dec11-2010--There are still private analysis going on about our military leaders attitudes and many say yusuf raza gilanis days maybe numbered...apparently yusuf raza gilani wanted the brigadier who arrested nawaz sharif and initiated the musharaf coup tobe made army chief but instead just went to personally thank him for removing nawaz sharif from power...others suggest that pasha himself wanted tobe coas and thus there were no reccomendations apart from that of a very junior corp commander...coas kiani apparently reccomended a musharaf ally for the position...which was one of the few suggestions of kiani that were rejected...reports however suggest that GHQ was behind threats to keep kiani in the same position as he did not want to become CJCOSC..
