• June11-2011--The army which is only used to onesided diatribes against politicians and LEA's is coming in for increasing criticism...many see their handling of the afghan dispute and related problems such as the CIA,taleban, terrorism and drones as pathetic...others suggest that the top CIA agents in pakistan maybe the duo of K and P...Nawaz sharif suggested that the army change its mindset of being a holy cow...he suggested that the army end its domination of foreign policy and there should be no parallel government of agencies...he blamed kashmir on the army too..hina jilani, jugnoo mohsin also critisized the armies attitude...people generally think that the armed forces seem incapable of handling their responsibilities...tehmina daultana also took umbrage at the army corp commanders haughty attitude and said that if pasha had any intellect he would have resigned...many suggest that the PPP's recent coalition partners seem ISI ordained too...!!
  
• June11-2011--The rangers might have been guilty of some indiscipline and mishandling but the SC in a display of its highhandedness and pique ordered the transfer of the IG and DG rangers sindh...who theoretically donot seem tobe guilty..The SC CJ seems tobe a bit unfit for his job too if the only way he can deal with a beaurocracy is to fire people from their jobs...he has not cited any law in ordering the removal of teh IG and DG rangers...that is an executive duty and there is no law under which the SC can remove people from their jobs or transfer them......anyway one of the rangers used a pistol that was apparently that of the victim and it seemed to go off inadvertently... shooting a suspect in the leg is justified if he does not follow orders and behaves as if he is going to cause trouble...Cant the SC suo moto the taleban and US ambassador...?given the countries strange circumstances the national assembly and the SC are using whatever comes their way to distract from a terrible government and budget...The courts at least should behave sensibly but they too are attempting to politicize a judiciary which seems at best unable to deal with most situations...The SC too seems to think that it is not teh Rangers job to police karachi and it is necessary that the rangers be withdrawn and teh police and politicians start to do their real job...when u put the rangers into a policing situation with the threats of terrorism and suicide bombings than such things will happen...policing has tobe done without the gun tobe effective...but when u see nobody being brought to justice for the last twenty years of mayhem in karachi where non judicial eliminations have been the norm...

• June10-2011--The corp commanders have turned into a Gilani...they have at best turned into a cocoon who are unable to deal with the situation in the region and are becoming increasingly isolated in the country...just look at this...we oppose drone attacks...intelligence sharing on only a reciprocal basis...only received $8.6 billion in coalition support funds of expected $13 billion and army only got $1.4 billion of that...refuse to start an operation in north waziristan..will rely on loyal tribesmen.....everybody should be quite as a mouse and not slander army...the generals also took a step backward from openly supporting their proteges...ie the gilani-zardari axis of the PPP...The generals refused to acknowledge the public perception that the army is weak and unable to deal with attacks from india, afghanistan and even some say russia and the USA(taleban and al qaeda)...obviously an armed forces cannot rely on words alone and have to move forward and attack bases in india and afghanistan...drone attacks wont stop if they wont stop them entering pakistan...and apparently americans in pakistan only to train pakistanis in new equipment...hav'nt heard of any specific hard to use military machines...why cant they get a few soldiers trained in the USA and who can than carry on the job in pakistan rather than create a deliberate confusing and unbalanced security situation...
  
• June10-2011--In karachi a guy the usual mqm killer/dacoit type...is looting women's purses in a park the rangers are told...they apprehend an armed man face covered by a red handkerchief but handle him sloppily and he starts to act up and gets shot in the leg...and dies of over bleeding...just a minor matter of not rushing him to hospital...the whole national assembly up in arms...
  
• June10-2011--Gilani seems to claim that people should not make fun of teh sindh rangers as they are an institution just caught executing a minor thief...and someone in the NA referred them as "riasati badmash"(some say that refers to Gilani and zardari and kiani who are the actual rulers and not the national assembly)?...although one has to admit that there would be no karachi, fata or balochistan in pakistan by now without their highhandedness...!!Gilani also indirectly accused himself, the army chiefs and khawaja asif of teh PMLn of making fun of the armed forces against teh constitution......three years of drone attacks and Gilani continues too insist that he is trying to convince teh americans to stop them...when a country as unit is slapped in the face and than quibbles about reactions and commissions than who is making fun of teh institutions..is it the armed forces themselves...The ISI/rehman malik/mqm can get rid of zia era PPP hijackers and taleban journalists but cannot mount an effective intelligence operation to get rid of terrorists...rehman malik makes fun of institutions by suggesting that the terrorists are animals...who the FC, interior ministry and armed forces cannot get rid off...animals should be easy prey for a 500 billion armed force..which also they say rips of another 100 billion of state funds by refusing to pay taxes and report earnings...!!...one thinks...and the SC why cant it take suo moto notice of teh abbottabad attack but can of two bottles of liquor...one wonders who is making fun of whom...and on top of it Kiani offers all foreign military aid tobe used for the people...not a single program in the budget is directed at the people...?

• June08-2011--most pakistanis agree with ahmedinajad(whose name seems to mean that mahmood was an ahmedi) that the US wants to takeover pakistans nuclear facilities and that it shows an unnecessary interest in our nuclear program...one often feels that they would like to takeover pakistan too like afghanistan and cannot wait for an opportune time...one doubts the american viewpoint that taleban leaders in pakistan could order targeted attacks at distances of thousands of kilometers in afghanistan.You need local fighters and local know how to fight in afghanistan

• June08-2011--The armed forces has started to annoy a lot of people who think they can only talk and not fight anymore...case in point khawaja asif who accused the military leadership of protecting their jobs more than being blunt...in fact he said that they were openly scratching teh failed political leaderships back..he said that the cause was an unholy convergence of interests on promoting american interests...he questioned the expensive lifestyles of the military leaderships comparing them to emperors going to war on palanquins...he said that chiefs of staff who travel in cars worth 8 crore cannot fight referring probably to the naval chief arriving to fight in the mehran naval airbase attack in a BMW...our more fighting terrorist leaders prefer to travel on american humvees...and mixing up grenade throwers with rocket launchers...!!!like the PPP regime these chiefs of staff are also more interested in their own personal security and have blocked of at least three or four roads in rawalpindi cantonment...most people refer to the PPP's budget as hairaphairy...PPP has shown that it is irresponsible in budget making with a 46% deficit mostly attributable to the highly irresponsible extravagant provincial allocations...most people expect a printing of new notes to teh extent of 300-400 billion
  
• June08-2011--reports suggest that the firing on the american and chinese experts as they escaped from the attack on the mehran naval base was probably done by naval employees...those naval employees have since not been seen...what many ask were the chinese doing there and there is many say a remote possibility that the americans were actually the ones who raided abbottabad as well...?

• June08-2011--According to rehman malik the taleban are his enemies and among other characterizations he called them non muslims and animals and zalim and lackin sense...the country should not be made to suffer day in and day out and rehman malik should be immediately replaced to calm down the taleban...egging on violence prone organizations can only be teh work of a madman...mostly used to white collar crime in teh FIA rehman malik has shown a complete inability to handle, tame or defeat the taleban...and obviously saying mazimat ki seems to be of no use either...whether attributed to the seemingly powerless gilani(cant handle taleban, americans, army or ISI..?)or zardari or altaf hussein(no angel either)
  
• June08-2011--Shahid afridi these days is paying for his crimes in selling teh worldcup match to india..whoever he talks to these days says "sada million paunch jana chaida eh afridi..."(that could be in sindhi, urdu, punjabi or pushto)"that might not be nawaz sharif but we obviously differ from nawaz sharifs viewpoints on the afridi captaincy...obviously having public support does not prove that afridi has been correct or wrong in his attitude...getting to the semifinal and than throwing the semi final is no real credit and as usual afridi did not bat that well either...it is teh job of the PCB to discipline cricketers and teh courts and politicians should let them do that...a player should be allowed to go to court only after a final decision...creating a public fuss almost proves afridi's guilt...many suggest that afridi is now an indian agent and is going around asking how they want to recieve their payments...are bilawal bhutto and nawaz sharif and ishrat ul ibad indian agents too many ask...??
  
• Jun07-2011--Shahid Afridi kicked out as captain in limited overs cricket goes haywire and starts a sort of political movement for his own survival...known best for his pathetic handling of teh world cup match against india which many say he had literally sold for a huge amount...many regard him as a pathetic batsman with an average in teh low twenties and who cannot play according to the situation...he also seems unable to get along with many coaches and managers...others suggest he is a failure as a captain and since terrorism cant be controlled no point in keeping on a pathetic tribal as captain...

• Jun07-2011--pakistan politics went into a deep turn for the worse as politicians started to hedge and avoid critcising the budget and government for various motives as most governments seem to be in a minority state...The ANP for teh first time registered its anger at the PPP's pathetic chaplusi attitude of accepting whatever is done by the MQM...In teh senate a ten seat party leader was made opposition leader splitting the opposition and the PPP agreed to sit mutely in the punjab assembly...while teh mqm's chief killers became friends again as the MQM called teh ANP worse than teh taleban in terrorism...one obviously would not give any awards to the mqm for its role in the terrorism and murder bussiness...
  
• Jun07-2011--A discussion on Dawn on intelligence cooperation and joint operations shows that we are almost a subjugated people...this points directly to the musharaf-PPP policy of taking US aid in exchange for killing our own objectives and people..we should realize that the afghan war is over...and no independent trained armed force works under another countries combat command...even allies in iraq and afghanistan work seperately in seperate areas...we should also tell the US this is our own country and we do want it tobe invaded, semi occupied or over run by US agents and marines for whatever purpose...if we go by history the US has never fought any war against terrorism and obviously are not as experienced as our own armed forces which have been continuously fighting such forces in one way or the other...intelligence cooperation obviously means embarassing our supposedly experienced ISI and army chief and than making them obey whatever the US says...teh differences in perceptions and real intelligence is also quite apparent between the US and pakistan as well as india and afghanistan...the almost daily drone attacks some seemingly mounted on remote haciendas probably just for fun since teh pakistanis are almost totally subdued...if teh drone attacks do not stop than there is only one way to go about it and the pathetic Gilani is obviously not teh right man for the job...i refer to drone attacks as continuous slaps on the Gilani face...if someone were to do that for each drone attack he would surely do something about them...many feel that we should do whatever we want too if the US does not stop killing people just on the off chance of netting some supposed taleban or alqaeda leader

• Jun04-2011--The finance minister who could not balance the budget and break the begging bowl envisages almost a trillion in deficits which is not really 4% but 46% of the budget...The GDP is just a misleading criterion...As expected the government could not come up with any new thinking and expects a 22% revenue jump...supposedly after reducing excise duties and nominal 100 billion increase in taxation...opposition politicians offered the finance minister their bangles...many say the opposition should insist on a balanced budget and no foreign aid...many say teh deficit is almost equal to the provincial allocation and shows the hasty immature NFC that Gilani negotiated with the provinces...There was little joy with no major allocations for the power sector..many say teh 14 billion HEC budget could go some way to improve rural education...simply said price hikes next year will be 22% plus probably another 20% due to petroleum price hikes, electricity price hikes and transport fare increases..the only anti army measure is the collection of sales taxes from army stores too..! and government workers obviously dancing in their offices as they get another 15% payrise after last years 50%...a bit too extravagant many say...just that and a 1% reduction in the GST will cost around 100 billion
  
• Jun04-2011--The imported finance minister lying openly...there is no evidence of any subsidy on petroleum products nor is there any evidence of any subsidy on electricity ...in fact IPP's who have already paid their loans should reduce tariffs by half...about revenues we have increased the military budget from 50 billion to 500 billion and revenues have almost risen ten times to around 2 trillion from the early nineties......that should be a success story...The government should be comfortable and not act like a cry baby since they are doing little for the people...maybe 1 billion in subsidies for teh utility stores where prices are only a couple of percentages lower....they also want us to drink useless bottled drinks...?when education is provincialized than provincialize teh HEC...paying for higher education when kids in rural areas cant read even after school shows the pathetic thinking pattern of this regime
  
• Jun04-2011--In the context of Nato Oil tankers and their burning...apparently the pakistan airforce is so worried that american aircraft might fall short of fuel that they have been sending daily flights of their ukrainian air refuelers so that the american aircraft can be refueled and in teh context of the abbottabad attack turnaround and use the same fuel against us..unless the US agrees not too mount any raids on pakistani territory whether the border or fata the nato oil tankers must be stopped from plying on our roads..others suggest that the fuel tankers are also being operated by a pakistan army subsidiary or contractors sponsored by the army (the NLC etc.).NLC was setup to transport parts for our nuclear program and also used to transport army imported goods up north from the karachi port...

• Jun03-2011--Shahid afridi who probably is better at selling shampoos than batting with an average of around 24 announces retirement after bickering about teh board, coach and selectors...both the recent pakhtun captains have been unable to handle inter departmental problems especially in selection and relations with teh coaches...many feel that while dictatorial captains like imran khan have been successful.. people like shahid afridi who are in teh team because of advertising and fame rather than ability have a tendency to look on even in teh field...captainship is a process where a captain has to make decisions only in a couple of instances as most matters are usually rehearsed or planned before hand...Afridi was unable to handle the pressure in the world cup match against india and did not make teh right decisions in selection and handling and his batting was quite terrible...many feel that he was also bowling quite wide to avoid being hit rather than try to take wickets...his retirement decision one feels is quite correct however teh board should allow him to play overseas...
  
• Jun03-2011--The government revises its revenue for last year to 1588 billion and envisages a 22% increase in revenues...that means that teh government has almost doubled revenues thru its tax, tax and tax single minded policy...how much more do they want...still they want to widen teh tax base.. for what...to make peoples lives more miserable...it is time for the government to think whether they have an ounce of reason or logic in their brains..despite the doubling of revenues they still are unable to pay the enhanced provincial share of 57%...the provinces will at best get 30-40% because there is no money if teh government allocates 500 billion for the armed forces...200 billion administrative ..500 billion loan repayments..750 billion development...that leaves only around 500-600billion for the provinces and the government is obviously lying that it can make such payments to teh provinces...their share comes out to the pre NFC 37%...The government should quit lying and balance the budget...people are sick and tired of hearing tax agriculture...widen the tax base...it all has to come out of the peoples pockets in the end...as much as u increase revenues...the same percentage u have to hike prices somewhere...
  
• Jun03-2011--Heard a discussion on a tv channel in which they all wanted to increase taxes...one thing that these experts need to understand is that price hikes are directly correlated with revenue hikes...if revenue increases are 60% than price hikes will be 60%..coupled with hikes in electricity and petroleum products the price hikes tend towards 100%...most experts wanted to tax agriculture and increase direct taxes...it is generally a good idea not to tax the food chain...otherwise if u tax the agriculturist he will just increase prices further...the same applies to chicken feed and chicken sellers and suppliers..if u increase taxes on them chicken will get expensive and people already finding protein sources extremely hard to afford...RGST not a good idea apart from the reduction in some taxes that it proposes...and i think if the governemnt had allocated and spent 5 trillion on power generation there would be no electricity problems by now...obviously the government did not seem to have 5 trillion to spend over two years anyway......similarly if u tax the millions of retailers what will they do...tag on their taxes to the sale price...the same goes for all other bussinessmen and industrialists...none of them pay out of their own pockets but tag all the taxes to the sales price..just increasing taxes isnt the only thing in a budget...stop wasteful spending...billions go into useless porkbarrel projects which are meaningless to the people...stop expanding and improve what u have...industrialisation is useless when u can get cheaper products from china...stop expensive aid from all donors...match the expenses to the actually available resources so that prices can be kept in check...stop fueling inflation...there is no point to it...reduce defence expenditure ...our armed forces have never been able to provide the expertise necessary...try to get your aid providers to write of your debt or reschedule debt over the next twenty years...delay aid returns and concentrate spending on the real problems that face the country...shortage of electricity and high prices...There is no point in increasing funding of provinces they donot provide any services to the people...delay NFC awards for two years...Indirect taxes are the best but that does not mean that u should keep increasing indirect taxes...This government has spent at least 6 trillion over the past three years and has nothing to show for it...why because all the trillions have been wasted uselessly...stop waste and think like a poor country..not like the USA...

• Jun01-2011--The PPP regime appoints a judicial commission with controversial pro establishment judge javed iqbal as teh head...with the terms of reference including the american concern about how ossama established himself in abbottabad...recent reports suggest that it was the taleban who probably funded ossama's exile unless the military did not run off with boxes filled with bars of gold...others still suggest that the military chief has been behind it all along which might have prompted teh PPP regime to give him an unprecedented three year extension...ossama's removal from the scene has again allowed terrorism to take off which was partially subdued...
  
• Jun01-2011--apparent taleban and ISI insider journalist Saleem Shehzad battered to death near sarai alamgir and body found near head rasul...he was the author of a forthcoming book.."Inside alqaeda and the taleban--beyond ossama and 9/11"..apparently knocked out by the vicious PPP's ISI who apparently had warned him not to report on contentious unknown issues...he also suggested that the mehran raid came after alqaeda naval employees had been interrogated...one can see it in teh context of the Ossama elimination in which at least three incidents could be inter related...the killing of a saudi diplomat in karachi, the mehran attack and the killing of this journalist who obviously would have sources in the military, ISI and taleban...many suggest that he could be the journalist who aired reports about ossama and his living conditions...others suggest that the taleban might have eliminated a person who knew too much about them or who could possibly have provided information on where Ossama lived...reports suggest that most taleban knew where Ossama lived...
