• Dec31-2013--KP suggests that the PMLn hand over the entire wapda system in KP including teh tarbela powerhouse and the center take responsibility for all losses for the next five years as well as present liabilities as well as ending Nepra controls...in such a situation teh PMLn could at teh first stage divide teh entire power system into provincial systems and than consider handing it over to teh provinces or privatizing it...KP also wants it to handle/finance teh ongoing projects of construction...Since teh KP government is also one of worst billpayers it can hardly be expected to improve things
  
• Dec30-2013--violence continues in karachi as three MWM LG candidates gunned down while a MQM family of four also gunned down while two daughters survive
  
• Dec30-2013--The Dawn suggests that the PMLn also being roped into a confrontation with teh judiciary on appointments when several of its attempts to replace uncooperative managing directors were stopped by teh IHC...many feel that a government is held hostage when it has to suffer teh appointments of a previous regime...others feel that unless there is a problem in merit, corruption or discimination teh governments should be allowed to replace, transfer or appoint people of its own choice...Many feel there is probably a case for a constitutional amendment as the countries mixed system of government employees and outside managerial appointments becomes entrapped with teh conscience of teh courts or self righteous indignation...The country has to develop a system where either all or specific managerial appointments can be brought from outside and a process of merit and ability be implemented and whether teh government has any right to consider them subordinate employees...
  
• Dec30-2013--The inflated ego of musharaf shows no sign of abating when he claimed that teh uninterested army was perturbed at his treason trial...while teh army has been behind protecting its officers from trials for their misdeeds many feel that teh army might have become somewhat intellectually concerned at everyone getting off scot free even for coup plotting
  
• Dec30-2013--In what many see as the turning of tables after teh nasty name calling by Bilawal Zardari aka Mullah Billa teh PTI organized a demo outside Bilawal house to have teh road in front cleared for people use...teh PPP brought in their sympathizers to attack the demo and it turned into a regular fight with teh police chipping in with batons...many feel that teh politicians are given unnecessary security and that teh army, politicians and taleban must all be denied safe havens when teh people alone suffer
  
• Dec30-2013--many feel that Nawaz Sharif maybe playing teh role of arch seperatist Mujiburrehman when he agrees to hand over Pesco the electricity distributing utility in Peshawar to teh KP government...The center now barely controls anything apart from electricity, gas, finances, defence and foreign affairs...with little to do one wonders why they cant handle even an electricity utility...many feel that teh feeble nature of teh Nawaz Sharif regime may kill any hopes of a successful government at teh center...others feel that teh almost twelve years of anti nawaz propaganda by teh PPP on issues such as teh musharaf coup, kargil and his attempts at becoming an emir rather than a primeminister may have killed any instincts at being a brilliant ruler...others see a pathetic complainer of teh PPP ilk emerging from a military character who cannot think straight on many issues relating to foreign affairs, defence and internal security...others note his almost complicit subjugation to indian subordination...!

• Dec28-2013--Nawaz Sharif says drone protests isolating pakistan and he wants to be friendly with countries that bomb pakistan while Bilawal Zardari aka mullah billa opposes terrorists but supports drone attacks...a matter of nuances...many say... but teh issue as teh US says cannot be settled without talks, diplomacy and interaction...The PPP led by teh cowardly zardaris who ran from teh country and elections just a few months ago now say it is teh establishment that pushed them into teh gutter not a fall in support countrywide...hiding from realities will not get the PPP any support nor will Nawaz Sharif get anywhere by wanting tobe friends with internal and external enemies...The Zardaris and their party are still running frightened and they really cannot get anywhere by holing up in their safe haven of sindh...

• Dec26-2013--drone attack kills four in north waziristan...dawn says that in a severe retaliation by teh army in Mirali left rows of bombed and burnt shops and houses..retaliating for a suicide bombing and many say teh almost daily IED's...The armies losses apparently in north waziristan have been 11 times that of south waziristan...a ceasefire is now in effect

• Dec24-2013--Musharaf is now claiming that his orderly Shaukat Aziz ordered him to impose teh emergency when many regard his military men as telling him todo it when apparently teh chief justice had suggested that he be allowed to takeover the government...Chaudhry Shujaat a military goon at best now says that nobody voiced any opinions in front of musharaf and that he had desired teh killing of Akber Bugti...

• Dec23-2013--Shabaz sharif being referred to as a shiite sympathiser by many after he refused to stop the chehlum procession in rawalpindi's troubled raja bazaar area where the shiites fired on a mosque recently...rampaged thru a mosque killing students and set on fire shops owned by teh mosque..The mosque arranged a conference on chehlum and teh administration went around arresting the organisers...since a conflict is cosidered almost possible/imminent many thought that teh chehlum procession would be stopped as chehlums are usually an inhouse affair...many regard teh ashura as unislamic rites...police and army have been called up and arrangements have been made for mobile food shops if a curfew has tobe imposed...there are reports from both sides that they are ready to retaliate and attack the processions if provoked

• Dec22-2013--the army chief seems tobe on teh same track as teh previous one...while violence in north waziristan is almost constant teh army only reacts rather than clear the area out...many see a single corp handling teh region as counterproductive as it does not have teh manpower to be on teh ground in all the problematic areas...also most operations have been handled by teh FC which is relatively a weaker paramilitary...
  
• Dec22-2013--The PMLn harking back to the 303 move by Zulfikar ali bhutto is considering an ordinance to remove corrupt employees...many see it as a move to remove government sector employees on a wholesale level as well as to get rid of former PPP employees...the only people who cannot be removed would be teh judiciary...while supposedly corruption has been checked those deeply involved have not been removed...in fact if u see teh records of NAB and other anti corruption efforts not many people have been sacked due to corruption...The government could also use it to get around teh superior judiciary...the right of appeal would also be limited...

• Dec19-2013--five soldiers killed in truck blast near khajori checpost mosque 40 km from miranshah..just as imran khan receives threats from taleban for encouraging polio drops...apparently imran khan frightened that he would be unable to travel if world bans travellers from pakistan...in related news teh army chief fired teh musharaf era strategic programs chief which handles research in missiles and deployment...teh former chief lt general kidwai(r) had been in teh position for over ten years even after retirement...while pakistan has apparently recieved teh 50th chinese JF-17 aircraft locally assembled teh country is not informed as to which types of missiles have been manufactured and deployed...pakistan supposedly has the ability to build cruise missiles and small to medium range missiles of various types...under teh nawaz sharif doctrine they will be friendly to india and the military is just for show unable to retaliate substantively to drone attacks from afghanistan and border violations from india..with india refusing to budge from its nothing doing doctrine the nawaz sharif doctrine is doomed to fail...we have had peace for a long time on teh indian border but india is just as harsh natured towards pakistan and there has been no solution to any issue...even minor ones such as marking teh sir creek borderline...it is india that needs to adopt teh pakistani attitude for a change to occur...poverty on both sides especially in india will hardly be effected by change in teh pakistani primeministers speeches...
  
• Dec19-2013--PMLn says supposed youth loan conditions dictated by banks...if it is a private banking initiative than why is the PMLn touting it as a government scheme...Banks should many suggest give the loans on smaller schemes than they are currently targeting...for example such small loans can hardly be used to setup marble factories...if teh banks and teh PMLn are unaware of the field costs than they obviously need a different set of consultants willing to come up with ideas and projects that youth can invest in with such minor fundings

• Dec17-2013--Nawaz Sharifs youth loans have run into trouble as not many people are willing to guarantee a 5 lakh loan..other controversial aspects include how 45 year olds can be regarded as youth...youth should only be 20-25 year olds...somebody would have tobe literally brilliant to create a bussiness with five lakhs...The daughter Mariam Nawaz has already said that there will be no guarantors and nobody is going to return such loans...the interest on teh loans is also many say a mockery...so many conclude that mariam nawaz is literally a crooked politician...and does not have teh courage, ability or teh honesty/qualifications to handle such a scheme...many regard the PMLn as having little thinking ability and they just want to point to people who would automatically be delivered a loan without any paperwork...!200 billion to the IPP's...100 billion to the youth and a few billion to coal fired power plants...the rest for Nawaz Sharifs foreign tours...who says the economy is difficult or unplayable or undoable..although many wonder how in three months teh economy improves by 5.1%...quackery in the medical and economic fields is the pakistani way...whether u have a 50 million economy or a 4 trillion one the problems have always remained teh same...if this is the wonder economics of Nawaz Sharif u can have a world record of 21% GDP growth in one year...!!!

• Dec16-2013--continuing the PPP policy of getting rid of responsibility in the face of judicial resistance the interior minister handed over Nadra to teh ECP for three months to solve the issue of finger print verification which is impossible under present procedures and only 5% finger prints are apparently verifiable...The ECP has been trying to fool teh people on teh type of ink used and many suggest that ordinary dollar inkpads and ink were used in most places...The ECP should verify teh votes thru ID cards rather than finger prints which are not required under the methods of verification
