• Jan31-2014--Billa Zardari however has another problem as he tries to suggest that teh actual sindhis did not all die in Mohenjo Daro as he is accused of spoiling archeological remains by trying to suggest that he is from teh same dust as teh poor toiling sindhis...many feel that teh sindh government is wasting 25 crores in an effort to popularize a topi(billa zardari's headware)which could easily have gone to the poor and under developed or even used to dig up some archeological site...most sindhis seem tobe of afghan, baloch or kashmiri and punjabi origins what to talk about indian origin mohajirs
  
• Jan31-2014--the dialogue committee takes of today with Nawaz Sharif chairing a meeting...Nawaz seems tobe suggesting that he is teh accepted primeminister and he rules..many feel that no one knows how teh negotiations are tobe conducted whether in teh media or face to face...teh taleban seemingly feeling the pinch seem appreciative...however with nawaz sharif under shiite influences many feel he will not fall for teh Talebans' shariah gambit...many feel that without a standard uncontroversial accepted form of islam at the government, taleban and party levels no solution can ever be achieved...however Nawaz Sharif could suggest that their islamic suggestions be discussed by parliament or that shariah be enforced in teh taleban heartland for a start under an acceptable ruler...

• Jan30-2014--just a day after teh army chief stuck out his jaw saying we refuse to back down and getting approval for what many suggest will be surgical strikes against top taleban leaders...teh taleban retaliated by attacking a rangers area with a suicide bomb and two roadside IED's in karachi killing three paramilitaries and a civilian...Nawaz Sharif who like teh taleban plays both sides announced a four member taleban negotiation committee of supposed experts...including amir khan an ISI wala from malakand known as teh midnight jackal...rustam shah mohmand, former ambassador to afghanistan(PTI), rahimullah yusufzai and irfan siddqui(nawaz sharif advisor)...all supposedly non PMLn experts with two being journalists...many had seen a clear doubt in nawaz sharifs facial expressions as teh army has not been very successful in quelling teh taleban insurgency as yet...however teh army chief's stubborness might have been about refusing to let musharaf out of teh hospital..many say since negotiations are still up in teh air asto how they will be conducted and where and who will talk from teh taleban side and whether teh committee is powerful or will just shuttle too and fro...many see a downgrading/sidelining of teh interior minister who is pro talks but has been slow in moving things around...in washington another advisor told teh US to get out of the region...
  
• Jan29-2014--After meetings with teh armies operational command nawaz sharif seems to opt for sustained operations against teh taleban in north waziristan while teh press suggest that teh taleban have been clearing out of areas like miranshah and mirali in anticipation...others suggest that a swat like operation would require further manpower and teh running tribesmen would head for teh safer punjab
  
• Jan28-2014--The PPO which has yet to see teh national assembly has been challenged in the SC as it provides methods to legalize enforced disappearances and other unconstitutional methodologies...The courts have been letting known terrorists of teh hook and teh military therefore refuses to acknowledge their private jails...
  
• Jan28-2014--Nawaz Sharif who is not particularly busy has not attended teh national assembly for around eight months and not solved any particular issue in that period...winter this year in rawalpindi has been harsh for the people without electricity and gas...many feel that teh PMLn ranks have no clear view on the taleban issue and the government has no way to resolve teh issue unless they can convince the taleban to end terrorism or the army can suddenly clear out north waziristan...Nawaz Sharif seems like a punjabi without his danda or kalashnikov many say...a dud like teh PPP primeministers... ...with a clear lack of governing discipline and already avoiding issue handling like teh PPP Nawaz Sharif is looking like a person who has no experience of governance despite having ruled punjab and teh country in teh past...the private sector is not expected to provide any respite in matters electric or otherwise...many feel that like teh PPP Nawaz Sharif does not wanted tobe troubled by anything or issue and wants to reside in islamabad like a dumb waiter with everything to be handled by either the police, army or the inadequate private sector..trade with india and youth loans have already backfired in getting him any popularity...many feel that teh expensive indian trade will hardly provide anything new as people are importing minor consumer goods and semolina rusks...hardly anything worth crowing over...although some hope that they will start importing teh cheap Nano or indian scooters and the auto industry looks askance at supposedly bad quality indian auto spares as nothing but trouble...

• Jan27-2014--while shiites usually get away scot free after sectarian and other killings recent arrests in karachi police/Dawn suggest that shiite killers are also trained in neighbouring countries...that is denied by teh MWM which many suggest by teh way of their protests like blocking key intersections have an anti country motive...sunni extremist killers are usually associated with known outfits but are relatively not known for teh subterfuge of multiple hideouts/identities employed by teh shiites and are also not provided cover by political organisations...!!!karachi police suggest that shiite killers have also knocked out upto around 50 opponents...while many believe that teh countries enemies/friends are involved in baiting sectarian violence others suggest that sectarian and most religious violence is based on in country organisations and area/sect/religious differences...many suggest that due to shiite history they can claim to being victimized since the era of islamic emergence and their wailing/crying/mourning and annual ritual displays of self inflictions make them think that they should be immune to being critisized or considered criminals...however in actual fact they are just as vicious as teh sunni's...and the attitude that everything even individual killings are decried as actions against a community and many beieve that shiites in police,government, education, army and politics work as a unit for shiites...while others suggest the same for teh JI and other relatively smaller religious groups...Nawaz Sharif many say has made a pact with the seraiki shiites and has given them more than their fair share of key appointments
  
• Jan27-2014--The governments inability to handle teh economics situation related to the power structure is again impeding power generation as there is a shortage of fuel and financial problems with imports...The government should allow major power producers to import their own fuel as well as allow private sector petroleum providers to import and sell power sector fuel...In this case teh government could easily allow the private sector or foreign companies /countries to start arrangements to import natural gas and other power sector fuels...
  
• Jan27-2014--The TTP tactic of supposedly negotiating thru strength ie after a spurt of terrorist actions has been repeated as they again said that creating an atmosphere for talks was teh governments responsibility...The government feels that these issues should be decided in due course while others feel that a mutually agreed ceasefire should be teh first step...others feel that teh government should appoint a negotiating team and so should the TTP who should be allowed to meet freely...both sides at teh moment have teh position that terror actions and military retaliations cannot be suspended unilaterally...

• Jan25-2014--In something that is close to sacrilege two brigadiers from AFIC which is specialized in heart treatment and working in the field since the 1970's say they cant provide adequate aftercare for heart surgeries...The military which is usually quite well prepared saying such things to help an apparently dying general seems pathetic...no major aftercare is needed for angiography or even angioplasty many suggest and not much really can be done if a patient suffers a major problem after heart surgery other than an injection or electrical shock therapy...if teh military cant train a nurse to monitor/handle a patient after heart surgery with modern machines than they should commit harakiri...!
  
• Jan24-2014--polio work might be better handled by students suggest political student organisations in Swabi...In karachi the volunteers are given Rs250 per day and they want teh amount increased due to teh hardships especially the terror aspect..others suggest that teh military could easily handle teh process as almost anybody can drop two drops into a childs mouth and all they have to care about is the handling of medicines and teh security aspect...others feel that the governments predilection/concerns with heros/martyrdom/compensation causes many/most of teh problems in this country...
  
• Jan24-2014--with violence showing a definite surge which could be caused by teh taking of control by Mullah Fazllulah teh Nawaz Sharif regime has decided to go for an operation in teh troubled areas of north waziristan...The militaries on off approach seems to have failed and teh civilian government has been shown tobe a failure in controlling teh violence...The government now wants to take hardline measures such as indefinite detentions, in camera special court proceedings and declaring individuals as enemy aliens..apart from serious military operations...the situation has also caused teh failure of teh JUI-f and JUI-s mullahs in getting some talks going...with the taleban also said tobe getting more hardline and teh failure of teh pro talks mullah's and taleban the situation is tailor made for harsh military measures...however to control teh situation teh military will have to go in with full force..as half hearted measures and on off handling have failed...With the removal of general Kiani the new military leadership younger and less strategically minded could go in with a clear mandate and eliminate as many groups as possible...however with the myriad terrorist groups working in tandem teh situation would still take tough handling to succeed..Kiani was single minded he never backed down nor did he worry when he did not want todo anything...This government ahs to realize that a system that causes trouble has tobe dealt with in its entirety...Kiani wanted it handled politically at times but nobody knew how...The situation seems tobe similar with policies, consensus, roundtables but no real movement on any expected resolution or solution..The Pakistan Protection Ordinance a hardline system to handle militants is teh supposed solution...one would also suggest things like creating a political system for Fata handled by a seperate governor, police and paramilitary like other provinces...The fata governor could appoint a council with two members from each agency...!!!

• Jan22-2014--The indians known penchant for creating trouble viz pakistan stopped the intra kashmir bus services as the indians claimed they had arrested a truck driver for carrying a huge quantity of narcotics..the pakistanis in retaliation arrested 22 indian truck drivers...many feel that nawaz sharif who seems oblivious to indian transgressions on teh LOC and kashmir seems unable to deal with teh indian highhandedness with his pro only india policy whatever they do...which saw him approve a feasibility study for import of electricity from india...many wondered whether teh indians would not fire on such a system to disable it in any small scale skirmish on the borders..others suggest that teh electricity be carried by underground cables to avoid indian attacks...do u really need a feasability...u can connect two points on both sides with an underground cable if u are really serious..but are teh indians...this has been done before...?
