• Apr14-2014--The people do have a right to critisize teh army is teh general consensus although politicians are forbidden to do so...amongst teh continuing debate ahsan iqbal says musharaf is a politician and not a serving armyman...Zafarullah Jamali rejects criticism of teh army and teh original culprit saad rafique says teh army and judiciary respected in their spheres but any unconstitutional moves will be fully resisted...many feel that teh almost continuous loss of army lives in insurgent actions shows a very weak and poorly trained armed force...they donot know how to deal with IED's and other forms of blasts and donot take necessary actions to avoid loss of lives...while teh interior minister says relations with teh army are frank, innocent and pakistan based...!!one would find it quite difficult to find an innocent person amongst teh army or politicians...!!

• Apr10-2014--the blast in islamabad comes at a time of angst in teh top military leadership and opposition to Taleban talks from the PPP and JUIf...many fail to understand how the military can claim to have more honour and dignity than the people and country...the corp commanders have issued a milder statement although many feel that the PMLn might be irritating the generals even though raheel sharif was in teh loop on the taleban talks...teh JUIf said that the military is a countrywide institution and must not stand up for individuals...others suggest that raheel sharif might have been behind keeping musharaf in a military hospital where he apparently was only advised an additional tranquiliser...others have called for institutional limits...as for musharaf many feel that he participated in politics and should be held accountable just like other politicians...despite that he is being treated like an extraordinary VIP given his three month hospitilization, 2100 man security and even allowed to mock teh special treason court and its judges...that many feel is teh extreme extent that honour and dignity can be relaxed for a person who has trampled on the constitution...others feel that raheel sharif might be rubber soft and lacking an ability to carry the army leadership with a tough no nonsense approach...it might take him some time to keep the other generals on an even keel himself...!

• Apr8-2014--As musharaf was summoned in the bugti murder case the army chief suggests that teh military is being ridiculed as an institution...while there seems tobe no such apparent conspiracy against those serving in teh army there are many cases against retired military officials of teh musharaf ilk...there is also teh abbottabad inquiry report not yet released...the absymal performance of teh military in concluding several insurgencies especially those in balochistan, fata and karachi...many feel that teh military might be uneasy at teh treason case against musharaf and some aspects of teh taleban talks as well as judicial pressure on people held in illegal custody by the military/ISI/MI...Raheel Sharif says teh military will maintain its dignity and will not allow anyone to undermine its institutional role...The militaries institutional role generally means control over promotions apart from one or two and its role in internal security and its advice to the countries rulers especially in relation to strategic interests apart from the control and access to funds...maintaining their dignity probably means that they will not interfere until they require actions on a specific issue probably the sentencing of musharaf for treason...in a related move the LHC accepted a government request not to summon the DG's of teh ISI and MI...who were apparently required to explain the disappearance of one khan badshah from wah...!!

• Apr2-2014--The PMLn put on teh spot by the treason court saw a mute primemminister listening to his mostly anti musharaf colleagues on teh issue of teh ECL...Nawaz Sharif has this policy from teh old days when he used to tell teh cabinet that "abbaji kolun puch awan"..nowadays they say he is left with teh hinduistic punjab chief minister for a last person advice...The PMLn is considering bringing musharaf's mother home to die where he can care for her in teh militaries extensive private hospitals..many critisize nawaz sharif for his duality in approach by dragging along a few musharaf supporters and being PPP like in in his dithering decision making...many wonder whether any poor pakistani would be given such free hospitalization and security as musharaf...whether they can put a person on trial for treason than give him total luxury to live in and teh freedom to come and go from teh country is literally teh pathetic governance that we live in and tolerate from a military dominated group of politicians who were after all generated by a succession of coupplotters...

• Apr1-2014--Musharaf dropped his PML-coupplotting lawyers and brought in the controversial mqm lawyer Farogh Nasim who immediately dumped him in teh treason court who indicted him after he said he was not guilty...Musharaf whom many now regard as guilty of real treason rather than just constitutional tampering has been trying to avoid teh court by being ill in a military hospital but apparently refusing simple medical procedures and going for security not seen for anyone in this country...many now regard him as an indian mole who sat drinking whiskeys with manmohan singh and conniving with teh indian and US armygenerals for support for his illegal coup...the court however backed away from removing him from teh ECL thus making teh treason court an ordinary session court and asked the government to decide on how they wanted to handle the issue
  
• Apr1-2014--The JI jettisons controversial shaheed logician munawwar hasan as party chief and brings in KP's PTI coalition worker Sirajul Haq...It seems that teh JI has more support in teh KP than in other provinces and went for teh milder participative politician...he is obviously nothing like qazi hussein ahmed the former firebrand JI leader...The JI at its junior and student levels have been supportive of teh talebans militant efforts to impose islam on a wary populace that follows almost all real and unreal aspects/versions of islam...The JI being city and college bred has teh only system of electing party leaders...apparently teh arakeen usually senior JI workers refused to follow teh parties markazi shura and did not elect the more political and well known Liaqat Baloch...Munawwer Hasan had fallen afoul of teh pakistan army by calling teh taleban chief hakimullah mehsud a shaheed which many regard as teh main reason for his removal apart from his inability to generate enthusiasm for teh party...in recent history most JI success stories joined other parties after being elected once...and have generally been allied with teh PMLn as well as the PTI...many regard teh PTI as a modern version of teh JI
