• May29-2014--with the indian beaurocracy considered almost totally against a kashmir solution nawaz sharif wants kashmir and terrorism tobe dealt with at the political level and the rest of the indo pak problems at the beaurocratic level...sushma swaraj talks about the din of bombs which are mostly taking place in pakistan...in india the last bombs took place at a BJP rally...the indians known to blame their internal politics on pakistan too...if they treat the indian muslims decently, dont encourage insurgencies in pakistan(like manmohan and rahul gandhi) and talk on a kashmir solution than things can move forward...obviously teh facially secular congress and teh religious fanaticism of the BJP can be pretty different on issues like kashmir and dealing with communal violence...The indian muslims might not have any other solution barring bomb blasts if things start going to extremes on their front...Nawaz Sharif avoided talking or even mentioning kashmir although he could easily have met with a few kashmiri leaders...the BJP might be looking at one solution for both kashmirs while pakistan would probably prefer two kashmirs as a facesaving measure...the BJP could also be looking to impose hindu rule on kashmir or dividing indian kashmir into three...!!how Modi eventually develops a pakistan policy is yet tobe seen however it would be difficult to live with india on just the commercial level...Nawaz Sharif seems pretty timid on kashmir and could be expected to tumble if other issues such as water are resolved...Since tashkent kashmir's status quo has not changed much barring changing the LOC here and there...one can hardly expect the BJP to accept the chenab solution or even handing over kashmir to pakistan while keeping jammu and ladakh...!!Pakistan however should ask india to stop interfering in pakistans troubled waters, needless firings across the borders...solving less contentious issues...in exchange for any solution on other matters...Nawaz Sharif however came away from the visit with a not too bad image but no real expectations for an india pakistan deal...However Nawaz Sharif should be wary of a Modi bearhug because indian hindus have a one way attitude in thinking...they have yet to understand any issue from pakistans point of view...obviously whatever Nawaz Sharif's weaknesses in islamic attitudes he is not going to jump into the Ganges at Varanasi...and Modi is no sadhu...

• May25-2014--Nawaz Sharif whose earlier attempts to foist the indians on us (after the turks and chinese) failed in the anti pakistan animosity fostered amongst gandhis wants to try his hand at another of the viciously anti pakistan Narendra Modi and try to soften him up at his oath taking...during the election campaign he wanted his opponents thrown across the border...but theRahul gandhi-manmohan clan who literally ran a clandestine anti pakistan terror campaign might still look soft when compared to the hardline Modi...primeminister visits to unfriendly countries should be undertaken when there is something tobe gained or an agreement is tobe signed or the issues in the relationship have been solved...earlier two military leaders went to india under the false notion that they had been battered into submission but came back limping under the weight of their false notions...musharaf even tried to suggest that kashmir would be resolved within two years...Nawaz Sharif after being kicked out of government had suggested that he had solved the kashmir problem...the only thing he can say to Narendra Modi is that i am almost an indian agent in pakistan(u gave musharaf $100 per day..please increase my daily to $500)...many believe that the BJP in earlier stints has been relatively friendly to pakistan compared to the ISI phobia's of teh congress...however Narendra Modi is not a statesmen but actually a tea stall owner viz Vajpayee...!!!might be the lohar Nawaz Sharif can try buying a cup of tea from him since he is only left with commercial notions and no agenda on pakistan's problems with india...others suggest that Nawaz Sharif unless he is clear on the issues should not open his mouth and only suggest that he is impressed with his gujerat economics and maybe they can build for him a lahore waterfront...???many suggest that pakistan's submission is linked to the non movement of relations with the indians in almost all spheres...Nawaz Sharif would be willing to accept Chaudhry or Hindu king Modi as a regional power and leader if he could make some small gains on kashmir...Nawaz Sharif's supporters point to the non visit of any important indian personality since Vajpayee in Nawaz Sharif's last stint...at that time teh military supremo musharaf had refused to even attend a dinner for vajpayee...many believe that the pakistanis would willingly accept any agreement(facesaving) on kashmir if the indians went the extra mile and gave up their eternal enmity...That is however very difficult as Nawaz Sharif might be able to get any agreement thru parliament but Narendra Modi despite an overwhelming majority might not be that powerful...others suggest that with his record Narendra Modi could stay in power for ten and even fifteen years and it would be troublesome to cross him on minor matters such as attending his oath taking..others suggest that Nawaz Sharif is known for minor theatricals and has been almost subdued by the military General Raheel Sharif and has tried to portray that it is he who is a protege of the military chief rather than the other way around...!!others suggest that he should also take on a visit to agra, gujerat and any other sight seeing place in india to show his preference for indianness and defeat teh zia ul haq/musharaf theatrics in this regard...others suggest as a joke that he could just re-sign another basic agreement on indian relations such as teh lahore/simla/tashkent/musharaf documents...!!!Nawaz Sharif in this stint seems more able to get along with his opponents inside pakistan and could be able to overturn the indian think tank on anti pakistanism...usually an indian visit should come towards the end of a term to show that something is about tobe done on kashmir...so nawaz sharif is taking a chance on looking like a dumb dud on regional matters viz india...

• May23-2014--In related news the chinese to build a hodge podge orange line mass transit train in lahore...many assume it is in exchange for the military bombing of uighur muslims who are at odds with the chinese who are attempting to turn them into a minority in the Xinjiang province and are prone to militant actions...many feel that the mass transit line will not keep the cars off the road as it moves in a line between the haves and have nots of lahore
  
• May22-2014--while poor pakistans primeminister bought two bullet proof BMW's for 224 million the Election commission said that polling results at a sargodha(sar-god-ha) polling station was just a typing mistake and actually only 1037 voted out of 1537..the votes garnered by nawaz sharif in the NA-68 polling station were 779 and not 7879...the new BMW's meant for the begumat in lahore who were tired of sitting at home...apparently the previous primeministers had runoff with the other BMW's...!
  
• May22-2014--The military and airforce in airstrikes killed 73 militants in north waziristan...most of the attacks were meant to satisfy the chinese whose uighur militants plus uzbeks of Etim were the main targets...a clash later killed an army major and three security personnel...! machis camp and mirali bazaar reportedly on fire
  
• May22-2014--SC stays removal of the controversial Najam Sethi as PCB head who spent the last government plugging Asif Zardari... but his appointment as Elections chief minister of punjab has made him important to Nawaz Sharif who literally is dragging him along and turning an ordinary hack into a controversial government figure

• May20-2014--we thought democracy only in pakistan was like that in which total failures refuse to leave top party posts...despite each being responsible for losing the election overwhelmingly the top three of the indian congress party refused to quit...in a way the indians have finally rejected the british made congress party which has turned into a family union...although one of the issues was the refusal to marry by the heir apparent despite the winner having left his wife to live alone decades ago...dynasties they say eventually collapse as they are the anti thesis of democratic change

• May19-2014--The pathetic PMLn to continue teh policies of previous regimes and to increase taxation by Rs255 billion with probable harsh increases in gas prices for consumers...the failed policy of making consumers pay for losses of electricity companies apparently to be applied to gas too...such huge tax increases will push up prices by 10-12%
