• Jun30-2015--Altaf who has been living in London for almost two decades says recent news about his links to indian agencies and purchase of weapons by the mqm are meant to remove him from the mqm..he says he will fight in every gulli and koocha to defend his power...many are saying the bill for mqm's purchase of weapons was found in 90 records...most regard altaf Hussein as largely immaterial to Karachi politics as his henchmen can largely control everything without him...Karachi can only achieve peace without him and mqm has done more than enough tobe banned and can be replaced easily by a new leadership...
• Jun30-2015--K-Electric the privatized Karachi utility owes Rs.130 billion to government entities like PSO while K-Electric wants to stop electricity to KWSB for non payment of Rs. 28.7 billion the SC was told

• Jun30-2015--Ogra and Nawaz Sharif have started to play negative politics with the people...The newspaper says the oilprices for Dubai crude/brent/US are 59.88/61.83/58.41...that is almost little changed but Ogra says that it has calculated petrol prices at Rs82.05...with Pakistani refineries also having increased outputs substantially Ogra and Nawaz Sharif are definitely fooling the people...
  
• Jun29-2015--asif zardari whose frontmen are apparently being targeted by Rangers in Karachi will stick to an an anti army/rangers attitude...many say some like Shah Mahmud Qureshi are coming across as army touts as the army is capable of defending itself against allegations...however the general feeling is that most Pakistanis still regard the army as more capable than politicians who generally donot handle the bad faujis adequately when in power...Asif Zardari is still regarded as ordinary amongst politicians having arrived in power hanging onto the corruption proceeds(coattails) of the PPP governments...his period in government is regarded as a do nothing period avoiding getting anyone riled up...so much so that he lost literally all the popular power that the PPP was supposed to have in Punjab and other provinces apart from Sindh...bilawal who usually falls into generalized PPP pattern politics will have to work to create an image different to his father and realize that a few families wont be able to get him the necessary popular support...new policies, attitudes and candidates...a wadera kid or a feudal kid wont pull the popular heartstrings...sticking with the PMLn or forming a new coalition and whether he can get rid of his father and other corruption aficionada's...might have to stick to just Sindh for another five but that could make the rest of the country forget him for ever until a new non zardari emerges...!

• Jun28-2015--In what can be said tobe a pathetic judgement the SC rules that it cannot challenge the lifestyle of top government officials or the type of buildings, facilities, transport, food and clothes that they enjoy at public expense as it can be left to common sense and political policy...with judges earning almost a million in salaries and other perks the politicians have slowly and steadily almost bought the judges sense of right and wrong...this is a decision of a case filed in 2002...! Jun27-2015--Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur both left for Dubai to prepare a list of misdeeds of General(r) Musharaf....others suggested that he could also be answering to article 6 if he listened to the corruption tainted advisory of the PPP...
  
• Jun27-2015--The SC reserved judgement on the failed 18 and 21 amendments to the constitution after a five month hearing...The court heard what would amount to literally changing the basic structure of the constitution...The parliament has a limit and the court must decide that limits have not been crossed...it is like deciding that shiaism has nothing todo with religion but more to do with mourning while one newspaper wants Islam's definition in the objectives resolution to contain the shenanigans of various sects...at the moment apart from the two sects there are yemeni and Omani version as well some fiqhs claiming secthood too apart from several sub sects...

• Jun25-2015--opposition politicians instead of getting out on the streets in the hot weather to help the people blamed the power minister calling him names such as minister of loadshedding, meter reader etc...the minister however claimed that loadshedding had nothing todo with heatstroke...in Karachi the electricity system has already been privatized...the government has come out with some strange logic by suggesting losses are in proportion to areawise loadshedding..this is strange as losses and theft are already incorporated in electricity prices for almost a decade...!Khawaja Asif responded with Punjabi epithets and said he wanted to school the opposition on loadshedding and who benefited from price fixing of electricity tariffs...these days it seems tobe ishaq dar...!

• Jun21-2015--The government is saving upto five billion dollars due to low oil prices but is not transferring the loot to the people in the shape of lower petroleum and electricity prices...recently the government even cancelled a Rs4 tariff reduction in electricity prices and increased petroleum prices...oil prices could fall further when iran comes onto market with a possible volume of $100 billion of oil offloaded at the lowest prices
  
• Jun20-2015--The PPP leaders who are used to softsoaping their followers started to feel uneasy at the Asif Zardari speech...thinking this time they too would be doing jail time for insulting teh army...The PPP has been directly involved in soft removals of military coup plotters since the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's time when nothing was done against yahya and ayub khan who were literally allowed to end their lives under house arrest...the PPP was possibly involved in the c-130 mangoes crash alongwith a major general and they literally sent musharaf to live in england with a commando guard...so what does the corrupt PPP leadership want todo about the past now...they must take the chance and clean up the mqm and karachi and look at cleansing themselves as well...the former generals barring a couple of ISI walah's involved in afghanistan were dealt with...the PPP leadership must also return the loot and retire the corruption tainted leadership...the former faulty generals usually do not come back to haunt the country but the PPP leaders just dont know when to quit...

• Jun190-2015--The PMLn leadership seems unaware of the poorer sections of the populace...agricultural land owners and government employees are relatively much better off than the poor among the other 75% of the population...The BISP also is so poorly directed that it benefits rich mens wives more than the real poor...anyway one doubts that anyone can benefit from the tiny amounts...a social security program should focus on the needy rather turn into a political handout program for the middle income groups...
  
• Jun19-2015--The corp commander seems to have taken over the karachi operation from the beleagured Rangers...The army should learn to transfer an incumbent when he starts to run into trouble...The chief minister had protested the intrusion of the Rangers authority when they raided a police station and the building control authority and arrested employees...since military men are the only ones building houses all over the place they probably run into organized gangs...many here surmise that the corp commander probably wants a share of the zardari loot and plunder...!

• Jun18-2015--after the Rangers raided a police station and the Sindh building control authority the sindh chief minister wrote to the Rangers chief to keep within his limits..later the Rangers said that they had arrested a ringleader from the SBCA who was running a gang...The military which is the prime occupant of land all over pakistan wants to study land deals, illegal occupations and illegal constructions which interest it as well...recently the Rangers chief had said that apart from terrorist activities they also wanted to study the economic aspects of terrorism which are largely considered a provincial matter...The Rangers were called to karachi to control Karachi University in 1989 as the mqm ethnic problem started to rear its head...They have slowly entrenched themselves in karachi and gained more power as the years passed...
  
• Jun18-2015--a wedge has been created between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari as he accused the government of character assassination...Nawaz Sharif subsequently refused to meet Zardari...considering his diatribe against the army

• Jun17-2015--Nawaz Sharif says he referred to the problematic mqm as "makhi's(flies)" as a joke(flies are swatted down in the pakistani environment just as militants are shot down in the countries anti terror war...)...Obviously karachi has never had any problems in development funds...just as a comparision to other areas even Zulfikar Ali Bhutto built a flyover on the sharahe faisal in the 1970's and Benazir Bhutto initiated projects in karachi of Rs200 billion...both the bhutto's were karachiites too...!!...The mqm has been trying to suggest that they are different as a people but have been unable to do so...they have to keep the crybaby atmosphere to keep their support base.
  
• Jun17-2015--The judicial commission has called eleven returning officers to find out out why they wanted extra ballots printed especially when voting patterns are around 40-60%...there is also concern at the disappearance of forms 15 from various constituencies...
  
• Jun17-2015--In what can be described as the mqm orientation(trying to become a makhi himself) asif zardari virtually first threatened to shut pakistan down and than innocuously threatened meaninglessly to issue a list of generals misdeeds...nobody is around to answer for generals rights or wrongs...with a former primeminister sitting next to him accused of hajj corruption and himself still having to answer to decades old cases one can hardly argue that asif zardari or the PPP are angels who did no wrong...asif zardari obviously does not realize that it is the people who make judgements and it is the PPP which knows nothing about democracy...people who reach top positions and are regarded as failures immaterial of corruption allegations are expected to move on to their retirement homes and no logic supports anything else...The PPP as far as we can make out has always been unable to bring people out on the street...apart from reacting violently to supposed bad handling the PPP and its inherently faulty supporters never could adopt a democratic attitude of protest...many are already joking that soon the PPP leaders will disappear to Dubai and London ostensibly to work for the people...awam ki khidmat has never been a characteristic of any political grouping in pakistan...many feel that the PPP also feels threatened by the Rangers attempt to cleanse karachi of corrupt elements that indulge in bhatta, robbing banks, extortion, land grabbing and the skin mafiosi as well as other forms of crimes and scam's that provide them the wealth to live in Dubai and London for most of their lives...both the MQM and the PPP major players in karachi now want to get rid of the Rangers operation as it starts to get an inkling of their money grabbing ways...
