• Dec31-2016--US sanctions seven pakistani government/private organisations in the defence arena supposedly for attempting to acquire missile parts thru questionable means...!
  
• Dec31-2016--PTI to field candidates against zardari and bilawal in sindh...while the PPP has a strong sindhi identity and a nura kushti with the nawaz regime there is a strong chance for the opposition as shown by previous election results...whether the PTI can gather the votes is however questionable as there are serious questions on how they select candidates and canvass for votes...just putting up candidates who have a previous record is not always a winning idea...!even though past area experience is considered beneficial in election politics...The national assembly has failed as Nawaz sharif is rarely around the PPP and PTI have not been able to put up much of a show..
  
• Dec31-2016--Misbah considers future after dismal series losses to new zealand and australia...while i donot think he has too many batting resources to replace the battered batsmen he should consider bringing in sharjeel for slow opener sami aslam...while the fast bowlers have been adequate they have not succeeded and he should think of going in with three spinners and two pacemen...he should also consider dropping Baber Azam and go in with six batsmen...five seniors and the hard hitting Sharjeel Khan...dropping himself for say Rizwan makes no sense...or he should retire and ask shafik to take over as a stop gap in the last test...with sarfraz batting well he should consider playing a fifth bowler...and for inzamamul haq one must say he should consider bringing in Fakhar uz zaman for rizwan in the one day squad as baber azam is not doing so well...even though the one day squad is more balanced with imad waseem.. selecting an in form batsman was essential...kamran akmal should have been given a last chance to redeem his reputation as well...
  
• Dec31-2016--Chaudhry Nisar who has been accusing the opposition and media of propaganda should stop being so childish...if they cannot defend something or giveup all economic planning to the chinese CPEc than that is not propaganda...they have been suggesting high prices for a transmission line from Lahore to Matiari even though there is not much generation in the north at present just to help the chinese...their function in government is for the people not the chinese...while there are not many ships pouring into Gawadar they have even contracted for additional berths...!while an additional port could be beneficial in sindh the sindh government could have run the circular railway itself since there is an existing railway line...!as for critisizing the army that too is essential since it is the biggest burden on the countries finances and the people should be aware of what they do...the people are showing concern at the judiciaries attitude which has not been able to control corruption or the attitudes of politicians...in over twenty years all corruption cases against zardari and nawaz sharif have been rolled under the carpet...! so the people should be concerned at the bias and honesty of the CJ and they should have a concern too at the armies fighting ability and their promotion rackets...The army which has been mocked by the afghans, internal insurgents and the indians...!also every army has gone to fight in the middle east but the pakistanis huge army has distanced itself showing either fright or total inability to project power abroad...The previous army chief had no answer to indian firing across the border apart from suggesting inconsequential talks on kashmir...!what does the government have to say about over sixty superceded serving major generals...does that not suggest that there is something seriously wrong with the armies structure and promotions...!
  
• Dec25-2016--The new CJ much to the surprise of many says that the SC cannot be pressurized...todo what... give honest judgements or oppose the government...?at the moment the SC is refusing to give a clear judgement in many cases and for three years has been sitting on the sidelines...the previous CJ only started to show that he could at least hear cases towards the end of his tenure... The judge also seemed to suggest that not enough evidence is supplied to court...
  
• Dec25-2016--The controversial Chaudhry Nisar now wants the NAB chief appointed by the mild natured judiciary...before that he wanted the abbottabad report published...he apparently thinks after uttering...The Abbottabad commission report theoretically could be asking for an article 6 trial for treason against zardari, kiyani and pasha and the airforce chief for not blocking the path of invading helicopters...it could also indict many others including musharaf who had been informed of ossama's whereabouts in Hazara...obviously something no government could even attempt...!before that he critisized a BHC CJ led commission on the quetta bombings...and also the NAB plea bargain...all these matters are related to his interior ministry ...on top of that he says he is content and not looking to become primeminister ...and to top it off he says Asif Zardari has returned from exile without a deal and could have nothing todo with the new army chief who does not want to change things in karachi...!
  
• Dec24-2016--Asif Zardari returns as his friends company is raided for arms...saying he is going to announce something on Dec27...while Bilawal was almost on a solo flight Zardari apparently wants his crooks in arms to gather around again..there is not much change in the situation since the last elections electorally...barring the mqm situation in karachi with the PMLn even expecting to do well in KP next time...!Zardari had been close to the PMLn but his key henchmen in karachi were almost uprooted in karachi by the Rangers for terrorism support and corruption...while he ran after an anti army speech his current sindh chief minister is pretty much an adoring fan of the Rangers and corp commander...!

• Dec22-2016--NAB goes to hell and makes a comeback with a baloch beaurocrat making a plea bargain for Rs2 billion...after literally looting the balochistan government...!The SC had clearly ordered NAB that no plea bargains can be entertained...but who knows things change quickly in pakistan..and a new CJ and with Zardari back corrruption could again be popular

• Dec21-2016--Raheel shareef whose first conflicts with Nawaz Shareef were over the handling of Musharaf who was being tried for treason under article 6..it was than rumoured that Raheel shareef than kept musharf in the CMH for months and than pressurized the government to let him go abroad...he was also treated at a Navy hospital in karachi...the only possible problem that musharaf could have had was a blocked artery for which adequate treatment is available in pakistan at numerous military and private hospitals as well as some government hospitals...as expected musharaf refused to return and now is saying that Raheel shareef protected him and let him run away...it is only meant to embarass Nawaz shareef who has always had trouble with musharaf..nawaz Shareef said that he had never asked musharaf to remove two senior officers who had removed a pro PMLn senior officer himself...the musharaf problem emerged soon after his appointment as by april musharaf had already initiated a coup plan which had been reported to nawaz shareef causing musharaf to fire the lt general in question...the other problem that musharaf created was kargil and than in the end he refused to accept nawaz Shareefs appointment of the iSI chief as the new army chief...Musharaf had told the indians in sri lanka that he would be cooperative if he took over...

• Dec21-2016--Chaudhry Nisar whose family lives in the USA and have US passports says he wants to have the Abottabad report published...while the army has been embarassed at their inability to deal with three helicopters invading the country and collusion on the part of the ISI and army chief...Chaudhry wants to take up on the minor issue of sovreignity especially when drones were regularly bombing pakistani territory...!one wonders who was doing what with reports suggesting that the ISI was providing the US with details of areas tobe bombed..drones used to hover over targets for upto 24 hours but no action was ever taken by the pakistan airforce or army...!The US helicopters that attacked abbottabad also infiltrated during the day and landed in a KP remote area and than flew to the ossama hideout during the night...!
  
• Dec20-2016--even anti pakistan newspapers were all praise for the numerous centuries that Asad Shafiq has scored in a losing cause...many suggest that Asad should be told before the match that we will lose...so than he might score two centuries per match...others suggest that the team should call up salman butt, fakhar e zaman and imam ul haq who seem to be the better options for the top of the pakistani teams batting order and might be even ghulam mudasser can get a callup and bowl at 150 plus...!!??
  
• Dec20-2016--Nawaz Sharif can make anything good or bad controversial...The innocuous road to china generally know as CPEC and already existing from Gwadar to the chinese border in teh countries eastern part and the port which was completed in 2008...The western corridor which also already existed was tobe remade and that caused a host of controversies...the main one was that road only passed thru pukhtun areas and that raised hackles in balochistan...the PMLn in the KP cut across punjab's mianwali area to get to the northern access roads and improved some linkages in the haripur area and northern areas...that raised hackles in KP while sindh wanted its projects also added to the CPEC so that the federal government would have to pay for them...so they included keti bandar and the karachi circular railway...roads out of karachi are already quite sufficient...what the people worried about was that the chinese did not seem tobe paying for anything...and nothing was of any benefit to the people...so the chinese sent a communist official to say that in fact it was a china balochistan corridor and that pakistan was in fact not included nor was its population and other provinces...!punjab worried that with the chinese coal plants there almost hazy skies would probably turn black just like the environmental disaster zones in 23 china cities...!one of the most dangerous nawaz sharif misinformation initiatives...what the people had to believe that balochistan must be getting very developed...but barring a fast track road built by the FWO at pakistan cost from Gawadar to quetta and the midpoint on the afghan border...many PMLn wala's than suggested that balochis now could run on the roads from gawader to quetta and back and walk all way to the chinese border as well...would the PMLn now pay them for that and give them more food,education and health to live on...!...forget it CPEC only meant for chinese east KP company many say...!

• Dec20-2016--The Sindh government sends the IG on forced leave...so that "Pakistan Khap Eh" can secretly get back...many suggest that it was not Raheel Shareef that had kicked him out but Qaim Ali Shah...initially his entire family had vamoozed...! others suggest that he was getting one lakh per month to stay out of the country or that his second wife wanted him out of the country...!
  
• Dec20-2016--The abbottabad commission head says the report must be published casting doubts on whether ossama ben laden was even in abbottabad..most suggest that the US was using blackwater trained organisations as well as retired pakistani faujis and supposed pakistani military intelligence officials to monitor the ossama residence...the pakistani army was so frightened of Ossama that they barely moved as the US mounted an invasion to capture Ossama...however rumours of the early 2000's suggest that the ISI was aware of Ossama's whereabouts and suggested that they would provide him to the USA when the time was right...Apparently the army chief asked the ISI chief to go to the USA and sell the info to the USA but they told him that they already knew where he was and he had to rush back when told that an operation was underway...!apparently the ISI chief wanted tobe bought a house in the USA...!The abottabad commission chief who later was told to investigate missing persons was thoroughly ridiculed by baloch senators when he informed the senate that there were only 86 missing persons in balochistan while they were over 600 in KP and around 231 in punjab...!
  
• Dec19-2016--Asif Zardari to return on 23th..most people link his return to the end of the Raheel Shareef era... Bilawal has not made any major dent in popular support and zardari is not regarded with much enthusism in the other provinces..

• Dec18-2016--Interior minister says the Quetta attack commission report is one sided...the report of the commission focuses on the interior ministry rather than any real input on the Quetta attack...It critisizes the interior minister for meeting the ASWJ chief, not banning two tribal area terrorist organizations and even having a special secretary to the interior ministry...it could also find no data on seminary addresses...one hardly thinks these issues had any thing todo with the investigation of the suicide attack...Qazi Isa many suggest has fallen into the shiite lobby of thinking..
  
• Dec17-2016--The army seemingly only prefers to fight the LJ and the almost subjugated taleban...this is apparent from the armies avoidance of a fight with indians who are using the freedom to fire upon the LOC...the sectarian /terrorist fight has almost annihilated the LJ which has been literarily eliminated by the punjab police and has been handled by the balochistan FC and sindh rangers...The army chief also is avoiding the indians and trying to enforce the armies will on the internal terrorists ...that has caused another 13 militant death sentences tobe confirmed...those involved in some of the most gruesome terrorist acts include Latif mehsud a deputy of Hakimullah mehsud...he is probably the only one who had been apprehended and handed over from afghanistan...!
  
• Dec17-2016--Imran Khan is perhaps an optimist of an extreme order...he suggests that the PMLn is behind propaganda to suggest that the new army chief and new CJ are its supporters...while army chief and CJ have not shown any specific reasons yet to make us believe that...the CJ is still in charge of the Panama case and a decision can arrive anytime in the next two months which could be harsh or mild depending on the judges that make up the bench...The SC could ask the british government to seize the properties in england and hand them over to the court or the government of pakistan...it could also start corruption proceedings against the sharif family or confiscate local pakistani property owned by the safdars, sharif brothers and mariam and mrs sharif...!!
  
• Dec17-2016--Indians start firing on the LOC all over again...given the pakistanis pathetically weak performance in bilaterals with india the indians have dropped out of asking the world bank to interfere in the IWT...pakistan has been unable to make the indians stop firing on the LOC which shows that they are either militarily frightened or are not willing to take strategic steps to stop the indians...The deaf and dumb indians are definitely not willing to listen and the crazy pakistani ambassador thinks he represents india as well...pakistan should talk about its own position only and start for example firing across the khalistan border and accuse indians of trying to infiltrate insurgents into pakistan...pakistan definitely seems unable to stop the indians and a new strategy is definitely needed...our internal problems donot effect a country that is animist and has no warmth or good feelings towards us in any aspect..
  
• Dec17-2016--The shiite-sunni rivalry has spilled over from the armies suppression of the LJ so much so that everything is blamed on them in lahore, karachi and quetta...however the SC's Qazi Isa unnecessarily dragged the interior minister into the shiite-sunni fight by saying that he was meeting mullah Ludhianvi and not banning tiny organisaions in the tribal territories...restricting the interior minister from meeting mullah ludhianvi an important character who had recently thrashed the PMLn in a Jhang by-election is to say the least pathetic...all the shiite journalists spend their days and nights pouring out anti sunni rhetoric and now political parties with shiite leanings ie PPP, PTI and Mqm are doing the same..The PMLn has itself a huge shiite vote bank specifically in seraiki areas and has given numerous positions in government on a pro shiite basis...the interior minister apart from PMLn politics should meet all protagonists in the shiite-sunni-ahmedi fight as it is his job...if he does do so it will only create further problems..as for banning all organizations... shiite organizations should be included...Mullah Ludhianvi while an offshoot of the SSP-TNFJ rivalry is considered very mild and the ASWJ has borne the brunt of shiite terrorism...even when his clerics were being killed he only resorted to mild demos...and protests...in Jhang the PMLn has usually won but is now losing steam because of its policies
  
• Dec16-2016--The army appoints maj general asif ghafoor as ISPR chief and maj gen abdullah dogar as head of the kakul academy...a host of other maj general appointments in the various corps have been announced...Raheel Shareef had gone soft towards the end..unnecessarily promoting people in the jobs they were holding which is generally thought tobe a bad idea...
  
• Dec16-2016--The Quetta carnage commission accused the interior minister of meeting Mullah Ludhianvi and refusing to declare a couple of tribal organisations as terrorists...The PMLn which is generally more pro-shiite allowing them all sorts of leeway including blocking the entire countries roads now seems to want to play the ASWJ card...wile banning organisations has shown no benefit since the small secretive organisations exist at the grass roots levels in all sects...however allowing one sect or the other to prosper at the cost of others due to either terrorism or government support does cause similar problems...pakistan should bann all sects including the shiites, ismailis, ahmnedis and others and force them to pray in one mosque and not allow any deviationism.....there is no other way...otherwise the problem will fester at the grassroots in one way or the other...
  
• Dec16-2016--opposition passes a panamagate bill in the senate...the PMLn which had almost been a silent spectator on kashmir as the indians fired away accused aitezaz ahsan of treachery in providing lists of sikhs to india...Nawaz Sharif is himself accused of being a Modi handmaiden and he was giving the indians trade concessions as they fired away at the kashmir LOC...pakistan must play all strategic cards on the border if the indians keep firing...including khalistan...
