• Sep10-2010--on an evening when the weather bureau said that the moon could not be visible in nwfp... pukhtuns still as is their norm continued to fool themselves, pakistan and perhaps god as well and gave shahadat that they had seen the moon and would be celebrating eid a day earlier than the rest of pakistan as the moon sighting committee said that it was not possible to see the moon in nwfp and rejected their evidence...an almost regular feature on all eids...maybe teh day the pukhtuns accept reality the taleban will stop their meaningless violence and a new peaceful pakistan will than come into being...

Bilawal zardari appointed his sister as the parties women head while appointing his father as the president/co chairman of the party and made two phoopis(fathers sisters) mna's...similarly yusuf raza gilani got elected his brother and son(on the basis of if zardari can do it so can i)...nawaz sharif also has his brother as chief minister..qaim ali shah got his daughter elected mna...while there are differences on how men and women are elected to assemblies the Supreme Court could easily declare that only one person from a particular family could get an important political post such as an mna or mpa...as it can declare such elections ultravires of teh constitution so that a much broader access is provided to the national and provincial assemblies and thus spread political representation in the true meaning of the word......

• Sep09-2010--Altaf husseins rebellion threats seem to have crashed to a failure as he is seen as an establishment figure with no people oriented program...his local chiefs rush to england as it is they who will be crushed in the first phase of a government retaliation... presumed mqm motorcycle killers start knocking out leaders of a sunni organization in karachi...rebellions/revolutions if controlled by the establishment/military are not expected to achieve much as the major failing of the political system in pakistan is the lack of any people orientation/benefits or a peaceful environment.. matters of concern generally are prices, provision of utilities, local governance, law and order as hoods of various organizations go around knocking out opponents with a penchant for extreme violence..ISI and PPP think tanks are now generally unpopular...altaf also a dictatorial personality and many doubt people would be able to tolerate his dumb mohajirs sitting in every position...imran khan too opposed a khoony revolution as destructive in orientation...with almost a decade of literally khooni movements of terrorism and political confrontations no one expects that a revolution would benefit the people...the only aspect of a revolution is the control that a whacky revolutionist could generate from his uncontrolled actions, some hopefully popular eccentric economics and obviously some new dirty faces...pakistan full of people who are denied political participation at the top levels...and if the whacko revolutionist hangs say all the top politicians,charity nuts,religious nuts,media moguls,tv anchors, top lawyers, judges, generals, beaurocrats, businessmen, traders,corrupt cricketers, bankers and jagirdars than new inductees would be able to generate some economic enthusiasm...just knocking off the primeminister probably wont be enough now...?..or the chief jagirdar aka asif zardari..since altaf hussein has not named the jagirdar that he is opposed to.....The PPP is failing as it has no popular program and is at best following an economic program dictated by outside forces with no popular content..its program seems tobe directed at making previous and future military leaders look attractive.....Benefits for lazy government workers matter little to the populace in general...the government has also been unable to create any substantive government jobs...or turn the economy around...
