The Daily Pakistan Politics Jun16-30,2019

• Jun30-2019--According to the press Imran Khan has put on his cowboy boots and hat and ordered a horse to ride out at midnight Sunday to nab the countries money launderers...These apparently include his confidant Jehangir Tareen and many pukhtun supporters hiding on the outskirts of peshawar and hayatabad..no major launderers have left the country and no action has been taken yet against Tareen apart from banning him from politics...it is yet to be seen if Tareen has declared his assets in England...!no information on the veracity of supposed government information...everybody is going to fight tooth and nail to save their assets and loot and plunder...no major achievements yet on the asset declaration front...!given Imran Khans statements it is a major failure many suggest...others suggest that the militaries top generals might be at the forefront of the campaign even though many have widespread hidden asets...with one general even supposedly owning an island and half of australia(dha commercial areas)...!the militaries top general is supposedly in cahoots with Imran Khan calling his economic policies quintessential...even though they are the same run of the mill IMF advice...The hundreds of billions of dollars hidden overseas have not yet been found many say...!Imran Han(Khan) is supposedly still dreaming of Rs. 8 trillion in revenues...!poor soul...maybe he will have to make a break for it when he loses the next elections...!
  
• Jun28-2019--People being asked to make their biometric verification by banks is a bit odd as it is already available with Nadra...methinks millions of bank holders will not be able todo so by the 30th...like the assets declaration it too should be open ended...unless the government wants to take control of peoples accounts and their money for free...seems the PTI lacks any people sense...government making life difficult for banks and account holders...it is best not to have an account...!
  
• Jun28-2019--Pakistan hopes are a little higher making the semi finals in the world cup cricket...they will have to up their runrates...New Zealand feel secure in their 11 points as england have two difficult matches...if england lose both matches pakistan can move into the last four as can sri lanka and bangladesh...sri lanka are batting badly against south africa but south africa have a poor record upto now...so pakistan have to beat bangladesh who are being considered slightly better

• Jun28-2019--it seems that the PTI asset declaration scheme is headed for failure...they are now suggesting an extension...if the PTI intensions are good(ie not only for tareen and aleema) than they should make it open ended...as people know even Maryam did not know that she owned a Panama company...most of the people are in the middle and low end of the economy...you know the Tareens and Imrans had forgotten about their Panama links...!If the government really has information they should send the individuals letters to contact the FBR etc. The government has little ability to confiscate properties in England and UAE and the 100's of billion that they talk about is not achievable...everyone sees Tareen roaming around openly with no government action against his london assets...!
  
• Jun28-2019--Imran Khan is highly susceptible to 'golis'...people know what means...whatever golis are fed to him by the unelected advisors and beaurocrats... he airs in his speeches...he seems unable to understand that that the people do pay taxes...that is where the 5.5 trillion in revenues comes from...all taxes come out of the pocket of the little man in the forms of paisas and rupees...the rich man like Imran Khan himself socks it to the people...the various PTI golis...' higher dollar price shows an improved economy'...'people don't pay taxes'...'rupee will recover it's losses just wait and see'...etc. ..etc.

• Jun26-2019--Tayyab Erdogan said that Morsi had been killed and that the saudis had killed Khashoggi...!Did Imran utter a word...! I think he does not realize that it is dctatorial regimes that ask for Saudi help with their opponents...Nawaz Sharif had already soured relations with the saudis...but they and the turks would still come to aid of Nawaz Sharif if requested by teh government...many suggest that the qataris who were supposedly the investors for the sharifs did make such a request...Imran is typically in the Iranian bloc now and the saudis would be wary of asking for a favor...
  
• Jun26-2019--It is not the PMLn that needs an NRO but the people given the hardships that have increased under the dictatorial/brutish rule/non elected nature of the PTI...given the system Nawaz Sharif will be out of jail within a few years...it hardly matters to the people if Imran Khan jails the entire Nawaz Sharif family...he still won't be able to get the PPP elected which seems tobe his objective...The people only have one alternative at the moment and that is the PMLn
  
• Jun26-2019--there has been a whopping increase in electricity prices...The problem is that the army chief does not have to pay electricity bills...apparently Imran Khan got a bill of one and half lacs for his Banigala property...soon it will be declared a camp office methinks...others suggest that he will sell the Banigala and move into a government quarter...The PTI rank and file is one of the most enslaved in the history of political parties...the new slab in domestic electricity bills is Rs20.7 per unit...others like the army, agriculturals and industrialists still paying subsidized prices...methink you should put the agriculturals and industrials on the slab too...the government ad that stealing electricity is against Islam seems tobe a malicious lie...too...like other things that Imran Khan is saying...this government is one of the least charitable and most anti people in pakistans entire history
  
• Jun24-2019--One seriously thinks that the PTI is unable to think properly...The only item on their brain is the PMLn and how to undermine it...After destroying countless patients by whopping increases in medicine prices they want to further literally destroy patients and the pharma industry by increasing prices of thousands or hundreds of thousands of medicines...prices of generic medicines are at times 10 % of the prices of original makers...Drap has now issued a notification allowing all generic medicines to be priced at just 15% less than the original manufacturer...things like ciproflaxocin can be bought at around 25% of the original manufacturers price...with no decrease in effectiveness...even life saving drugs like copidogerel can be bought cheaply...Imran Khan who has turned into a slave of money mongerers should focus his thinking on reality rather than just keeping industrialists happy...!money and the PMLn seems tobe the only thing that attracts his dumb mind...maybe that is because he has so many failed PPP politicians in key positions...

• Jun22-2019--malicious reports are spreading about the army chief having skipped the country to avoid investigation of Rs60 million personal accounts...!others suggest that he has gone to check Judge Faez Isa's properties in england or to straighten out pakistans weakest cricket team...many others suggest that the government is avoiding investigating an advisor that earns 12 lakhs per day...! but is willing to mess with the peoples small earnings...
  
• Jun22-2019-others reports suggest that the government is getting a bad response to the amnesty scheme..most properties in pakistan are registered in their owners names while accounts are also in their owners names...The government upto now was collecting information from banks of people who withdraw 50000 from their accounts...it now wants banks to provide information on people having 500000 rupee accounts...other information they want to collect is about properties and large cars...while the government says it has information of around 53 million people it has been unable to make people even file income tax returns...The governments financial sleuthing is thus pathetic and useless and misdirected...with almost 5 trillion coming from sales taxes people are not encouraged to pay even more taxes
  
• Jun22-2019-The government says that it has two internet portals run by FBR and Nadra that have details of 53 million people...ie. financials details...first they suggest that one can access them by CNIC's and than they say that you have to register or in case of Nadra's portal pay Rs.500 rupees...Nadra's portal can be accessed from their office's too...Imran Khan says that his government will create trouble for people if they don't file anything for amnesty...for people who have wealth that hardly means anything...it might create difficulties for people in the middle of the pile...most wealth is concentrated in the hands of bussiness and agriculture including industries, commercial property builders, construction, land development etc. After which apparently come generals, top beurocrats, politicians, judges, lawyers etc. Some even suggest that Imran Khan still has a huge foreign bank account abroad...!

• Jun19-2019--a maulana apparently has accused the prime minister of blasphemy in the senate saying he is distorting islamic history by making up stories about madina and the sahaba...nobody had previously heard of the islamic government in madina which was at best a government in exile...most islamic governance has been carried out by islamic caliphs in mecca...the prime minister inter alia is suggesting that he is following the prophet in methods of governance...!technically the prophet did not ask for any specific monetary allocation...apparently the prime minister is spending Rs800 million on himself but only Rs450 million on islamabad
  
• Jun19-2019--in a move suggestive of the army invading the remaining bastion of the government that is economics policy the PTI suggestively creates a new unconstitutional NDC which is full of everybody plus the army chief...pontificators usually cannot make any policy is the usual thought...supposedly this is the job of the Planning commission and nobody knows what the PTI wants to do economically...It has subdued the CPEC mentality of the army and the PMLn and supposedly wants to waste over Rs300 billion on agriculture...it has not even allocated money for completing the Islamabad highway to Rawat which supposedly is clogged...the entire islamabad allocation is apparently Rs400 million when it used to get upto Rs30 billion...the second seemingly unconstitutional body is the commission on wasteful foreign loans which went over 60% of GDP in 2012...the commission is supposedly against political opponents...tobe headed by the NAB deputy chairman...from a constitutional perspective the head technically should have been a retired judge or senior beaurocrat...as NAB is an implementation body and will technically not be able to deal with any findings of the commission...and than there was the ISI chief...newly plugged with hair asking the prime minister what they should do...!the prime minister had no clue to what the ISI did and suggested that he sit outside on the greenery and keep watch...apparently these military intelligence types have cleansed the ISI...!

• Jun18-2019--The governor State Bank has already seen improvement in the economy...obviously that indicates that IMF orders have all been followed...he also tries to fool the people by saying that the free float of the dollar indicates an improvement in the economy...technically it does not help the economy and is the main reason for higher prices and inflation...raising the cost of money has never stopped anyone from spending...! he says the dollar is market controlled...no market parameters exist except demand which is uncontrollable/invisible...he says that he does have some intervention mechanisms to prevent a slide but they seem invisible...rupee is already down around 50% and one has never seen it recover its losses...thus there is really no market just a float...it would really help the country if the IMF came out on Jul3, 2019 saying that pakistan economy is mended and does not need an intervention...The governments ambitious suggestion that revenues will increase by $10 billion will only be known by the end of next year and if they fail than the country will be floundering in further debt...no efforts have been initiated to show that spending will be reduced/controlled. Given the PTI nature and what happened this year any economic success will only be achieved if the PTI changes its hawai(heads in the cloud) nature

• Jun17-2019--The PTI is generally coming across as anti people in intent...eg increasing the metro fare...Bilawal Bhutto calls their budget a financial suicide
  
• Jun17-2019--In a shakeup that could lead to the appointment of a new army chief the army chief shifted around his pet generals...creating a post in the GHQ for his pet orphan shamshad mirza...however many considered the appointment of a new ISI chief as suggestive of the failure of the previous one or an inability of Imran Khan to get along with the previous one...the previous ISI chief has been shifted to Gujranwala in the face of sabre rattling by the indians...Imran Khan probably blames the failure of his childish indian foreign policy on the ISI chief...The pakistani policy on india seems tobe deeply flawed and ineffective with Imran Khan not really having any grasp of foreign affairs(apart from losing at cricket)...The new ISI chief gained fame in a failed TYR demo at faizabad which rattled both the ISI and the government...he was seen distributing envelopes amongst the participants...It was the general belief that the ISI was stage managing its own demo with it is cadres training practically how to do it...The ISPR chief praised the ISI for controlling terrorism...however according to what has happened the ISI could not stop or control any of the terrorist acts until the terrorists faded away...even the fence is said to have seen at least a few terrorists pass thru and the lahore event is just one such example...
