Aug15-2020--Iran calls the UAE decision strategic stupidity...it is almost similar to attacks in the Gulf and on Saudi Arabia by Iran...i would call it at best reverse strategic influence mongering...with Iran becoming the area strongman and its stupid militarism against Arabs the Arabs will turn to the other power as Turkey and Pakistan only deal with their own interests...some are calling it a complete failure of the Pakistan army chief...since the Arabs accepted the existence of Israel in Madrid maintaining relations is not a big issue...the Israeli PM has even visited Oman and talked on some substantive issues...the issue of Palestinians has not been resolved and everyone knows that until the USA takes a real stand it will not be solved...it would be best i think to return the westbank to Jordan...!it is the same sort of standoff as Kashmir and Pakistan maintains relations with India...the Sikhs will not solve the issue of Kashmir
Aug14-2020--Students of the Cambridge A & O level system are protesting the calculated results as exams were not held...Cambridge calculated the results by studying the students school history and their teachers reports...many say that their A's were turned into zeros deliberately to benefit the british students...from pictures i assume that mostly girls are protesting...however i doubt that cambridge was deliberately being unfair and their school reports must have been really bad...!The students teachers probably never had it so good and probably the reports might have included some animosity..!The british government has allowed british students to retake the exam...they also can get their exams reviewed...

Aug14-2020--ISPR rejects any talk of a foreign policy realignment...while the government and the military have both talked about iran this and that they are still dependent on the Arabs...however some say that even the army chief has delivered nuclear parts to Iran...!The Saudis must be feeling the economic problems as this year even the hajj income was stopped...The Arabs feeling the poverty of military strength demonstrated by the Pakistan military have started moving into the Israeli camp which can easily supply them missiles and other military equipment...this is amply demonstrated by the Israel-UAE agreement...even though Arab Israeli agreements have not really produced any significant change in Arab positions or those of Israel...the Arabs met Israel in Madrid together but the agreement was not long lived...at present Egypt, Jordan and UAE have agreements with Israel while Oman and Qatar have realationships with them...The ISPR suspiciously said that we have become more interconnected and inter dependent...The military seems unable to understand social media...there does not seem that much on the media barring indian propaganda which the military should deal with and respond to...newspaper statements donot mean much on the social media...newspapers are technically on the way out the world over...on social media anybody can put out almost anything and the military should learn to deal with it mentally...The military too has been putting out lists of its generals on social media for a long time...!
Aug14-2020--SC issues a suspicious decision on GIDC recovery...one fails to understand the modus operandi of GIDC and how it can be recovered without any project expense or construction process...All three pipelines mentioned are not even being constructed for various reasons and technically GIDC is a false charge on consumers...GIDC should be charged from India and industrialists who will benefit from the gas...The SC should realize that the government has enough cash on hand...they saved Rs500 billion last year which could easily be allocated for the pipelines construction...

Aug13-2020--Pakistan go into into second test against England after being crushed in the first test...Stokes who has gone off to see his ill father in New Zealand seemingly is resting due to an injury and was seen vomiting in the match...Pakistan have a number of failing batsmen and no real replacement for three off them....Their captain has played poorly in 11 of his 12 last innings...the bowlers though accurate have not been able to take wickets when required...although the team does not have a player to become captain if Azhar Ali is dropped there are several contenders...there is only one spare batsman and probably a fast bowler may come in to replace one of the spinners...Imam Ul haq also might be inducted as an opening batsman and Abid ali shifted down or dropped...Fawad Alam who is used to making good scores in the domestic setup might also be included as a utility sixth batsmen...many however argue that some of three failed batsmen must be replaced...Depending on the wicket an extra seamer could be included...three seamers would not be able to keep up on a straight pitch..Shadab who batted well could not take the pressure in the second innings..Sohail Khan is probably the best choice for a fourth seamers position...Azhar ali could spin and the two spinners could be rested to bring in a batsman or two...!

Aug 4-2020--Dawns estimate puts the Eid economy at around Rs.110 billion...the economy has been falling for the last two years...while bulls and cows were plentiful there was a lesser quantity of mutton...a share cost almost half the price of a goat...while some thing called waqf where the qurbani is done in places like Chitral costs less than Rs5000...popular it seems in Karachi...The government also weighed in by blocking the Punjab market...Dawn says the shift to rural areas in the qurbani process was marked this year with the urban areas slowing down quite a lot...probably the availaibility of goats was lesser due to the known market condition...by end days goat prices had fallen from Rs28000 to around Rs20000...online stores including Imran Khans charity also competed with lower prices...with buyers having to travel a good distance the spirit was dampened/crushed by Imran Khan and company...The fall in qurbani's was almost 50% and the hides market also suffered with a fall in prices as well as numbers...the idea being that shoes market especially the exports was going to take some time to recover...online the availability of shoes and Kheri's/kohatis has increased ...with the high end formal shoes becoming expensive there is even an online shop for second hand sneakers...some say Servis may have the edge in prices...

Aug4-2020--NDMA chief says he has met the sindh CM three times already(that is probably more than Imran Khan could manage doing)...while rains are a recent phenomena in Karachi the problems with Karachi politicians , sindh government and center is quite old...the flooded Karachi roads will already have been drained naturally by now but both sindh and KDA/KMC need to keep the nullahs and drains clean...and obviously the people need to stop littering and throwing garbage into the nullahs...probably a private sector concern like that in Rawalpindi would be more effective...The Chinese i think have the contract for moving Karachi garbage...i dont know what happened to them...how about a garbage ministry at the center and provinces...!at the moment there is no garbage assistant to Imran Khan which is emerging as the countries mega problem...!The FWO has started cleaning the choked Gujjar Nullah with fifty dumpers, lifters and cranes...work also started from 'cafe piyala'...other nullahs tobe cleaned are CB nullah and a nullah in district west...he says 20000 tons of garbage is just not collected...he says a consensus could start a permanent solution in a few months and they would try to contain the rain deluge problems in the next Aug 7 rains...
