Nov27-2021--The IMF release of funds was delayed by the PTI regime pushing under the carpet the auditors report on what seems tobe reckless spending across the board...The IMF had give $1.4 billion for covid relief and was specifically concerned with the spending which was mired in what can at best be termed PTI graft and inefficiencies...most of the problems the auditor found in BISP, Utility stores, PIA, NDMA, MOD...all Covid funds...there wereRs25 billion of irregularities in BISP spending......Sania Nishtar obviously making glaring errors that probably made her predecessors look like exceptional geniuses...Bisp madeRs.6.14 billion payments to illegal beneficiaries...In the covid program the Primeminister is probably at fault as it was his program and there were Rs.40 billion in irregulatories in the Rs.354.3 billion program spent upto June, 2020...the auditor says that in most cases the records were not available...the primeminister had announced a Rs1.24 trillion rupee covid program most of which did not reach its beneficiaries...200 billion was earmarked for daily wage earners...only Rs16 billion was delivered...there were irregularities in all government agencies and ministries involved...Rs50 billion was allocated to Utility Stores who used only Rs10 billion...a Chinese donation of $4.5 million was never used...

Nov26-2021--The PTI says that they have been compelled to approach the IMF because of the trade deficit...there was no such thing when they took office and they have been running after the IMF from day one...even this agreement the reluctant IMF took six months to approve...what difference one billion will make when the trade deficit is around $20 billion..they were told that the IMF system and conditions creates untold deficit and inflation but it did not deter them...thats what happens when you use half baked PPP economists/bankers...

Nov24-2021--international crude prices are falling and could fall further...however the PTI under its IMF tutelage is going to raise prices by Rs.5 a month and the price may soon be around Rs.170 a litre...crude prices have fallen by around 10%...PMLn says that petrol prices are targeted tobe raised to Rs.200 a liter...Punjab mpa's also asking for a raise in salary on the pattern of the army and mna's...the government also intends to reduce development funding by Rs200 billion and and Rs.550 billion in tax increase's...The SBP has increased its loaning rates and it is surmised that tariffs and prices will keep rising...The IMF believes that the Pakistan government is lying about covid expenses and wants a covid audit...the government has been charging for even the free vaccines that it has received...IMF also wants name of contractors even though they were mostly government employees..!

Nov19-2021--The ECP says that both manual voting and evm is now allowed...ECP will have to decide how many EVM's are needed per polling station...The Polling Incharge will now probably need a truck depending on how many machines he has to transport..somebody to install and check the machines too...what happens if a machine fails..most think that given the pakistani nature that there is no possibility of an improvement with EVM's as most of the faults are at the checkin stage...the only improvement might be that that an instant count can be announced...even though some addition will still be required...and will machines be sealed like election boxes...!at the moment the ECP is unsure whether the next elections will use EVM's ...they say that four pilot projects will be planned...there are only a few countries where EVM's are used but counting and recounting still can take days and probably might be more complicated with expatriate voting..however EVMs are no panacea for fraud and election manipulation...!with the process of the last elections when votes were phoned in to a central system problems have still tobe ironed out..government says that ECP can use whatever machine it wants and they can make upto a million machines...i think that is a big if and components for a million machines might not be available...
Nov19-2021--many suggest that the poverty or inflation subsidy is at best a gimmick...a 1000 will hardly feed too many mouths...it would have been easier to reduce prices, tariffs etc...or even pay the industrialists to reduce prices...at least that way more people could have been benefitted...even just giving a 1000 rupee handout would have been easier...now they have to set up distribution points and pay kiryana shops etc...who in turn will have to keep accounts and announce no funds for you...your 1000 is up...!prices are going up further with milk sellers wanting a Rs150 kilo rate...naans in Karachi have gone upto Rs15...yogurt i think Rs140...and Lays too...a pack that used to be Rs10 is now Rs30...and water Rs260 home delivered...!The chakri sania nishtar had told imran alias evm that they have lists of the poor...but now she wants people to register...!Nestle is one of the biggest price gougers in the country...they had started a tin of yogurt at Rs5 and bottle of water at Rs80...nestle juice was i think Rs100...
