28 Nov - 2022--The country is seeing only some development in the 27 mile federal capital with roads especially being developed/widened/under passed. Islamabad is seeing new developments of the margalla avenue inter connection to Barakahu bypass...some like the rawal dam bypass/bridge expansions/bahria/pwd underpasses and extensions in the pwd-rawat expressway are being initiated/completed...most of the development is linked to the Islamabad expressway. The provincial administration is slow in initiating the kutchery flyovers..CDA having a limited authority can quickly start or complete projects if necessary..there are sill many logjam areas in Rawalpindi especially on the kutchery surrounding areas
28 Nov - 2022-- while the people had payed for allah to give some proper/moral sense to imran they were happy to see the end of his first phase and acceptance that he lost the government normally..accepting the kicking out of government gracefully is an art yet tobe understood by the novice imran...now he has thrown another variation into play that of resigning from all provincial assemblies and/dissolution of possibly punjab /KP/GB/AJK provincial governments...holding provincial reelections in early2023 when elections are scheduled for October would be meaningless and the PMLn could ask the courts to intervene on that...however imran should withdraw his resignations from the national assembly instead...corruption can only be stopped by participation...assumed accountability failure is a system failure and the courts/government/politicians weakness...PTI should step up and agree to their own accountability...if the PTI attempts to dissolve assemblies or resign they could be blocked as has been done in the case of their national assembly resignations...one country wide election is beneficial to the PDM while peacemeal elections are best for the PTI...if governors agree to dissolution than the provincial elections could be a force majeure situation and could be delayed...as governor rule is applied... however resignations could also result in minority governments in KP and Punjab plus GB/AJK with the odd PTI wala refusing to resign being the opposition...The PDM on the other hand is suggesting a six month/one year extension in their governance at the center thru a national assembly resolution...The SC could override that as unconstitutional/unnecessary..The current state of PDM governance just lengthens the status quo situation on public support as they do nothing to increase popularity election wise..it is only the pTI sadistic nature/misadventures that can change popularity status for both parties...The PTI must also understand that they too are now the problem despite being given electoral representation on a large scale..the PTI inability to coordinate with army and opposition has been a major hitch it seems...
the above shows the end of another PTI long march...the long march was intended for islamabad but ended on the murree road in rawalpindi in the rehmanabad- nawaz park area--due to in other reasons to the new army chiefs appointment and the bullet attack on the imran trailer...
26 Nov - 2022--Apparently the president gave the new generals a 3-4 lakh raise...to 14 lakhs or 17 lakhs per month...one must say that the PMLn handled it very well as Alvi/imran had to back down from their general nature of intransigence...anyway Dawn says that Lt General Abbas may resign as may the other two...they are to retire early next year and they might feel that there is no need to eat humble pie...and that the new chief could/should have a free hand...Apparently some suggested that the decision could have been made in London and that Alvi had been informed earlier...The COAS many suggest asked Alvi to takeup the role that the military has relinquished...!some suggest that Alvi being a syrian shiite type could not oppose the shiite generals nomination...
26 Nov - 2022--the SBP has increased its base lending rate to16% to control inflation...that effects big bussiness, banks and industry as well as the federal government who will have to pay more for loans...the SBP earnings will rise..whether it can control inflation at the people level is not really possible as prices of foodstuff and tariffs are not effected by it...people effecting inflation is usually based on poor government policies in the tariff and petroleum arenas especially

25 - Nov - 2022--as usual two helicopters flew over to the PM house one later than the other...the PM will have gotten to the know the candidates selected who are the senior most and some of their views..the PM apparently selected Asim Munir as COAS and Sahir Shamshad Mirza as CJCSC...earlier Dawn had said that Nawaz Sharif supported Asim Munir. Corp commander Rawalpindi Shamshad Mirza also an orphan like Bajwa has been shepherded by Bajwa for most of his career...however Mirza can be said tobe an intelligence, operations and kashmir specialist even though nothing is happening on the kashmir front..The army and primeminister obviously did not want to tilt/upset the rocking boat ..it also seems to balance the support of the PTI and PMLn even though the military seems tobe distancing themselves from politicians.....in related news imran too seems tobe wary of problems and is said tobe contemplating flying into the parade ground directly on the 26th..While there is no news of his bullet proof truck he can drive quickly from there to wherever his long march is...the first job of the new army command will probably be to fill in their vacancies...unless the chakri Alvi creates problems or delays approval...approval can be delayed for 25 days and PM would have to give charge to the selected on a adhoc basis or allow the incumbents to continue for the duration
25-Nov-2022--a small band of generals who have headed the Pakistan Army..some revere them but all have had their faults/ picadillos and areas of interest and political ideologies...musa khan wanted to be buried in iran..from ayub khans basic democracies to musharafs nazims...yahya khan was an alocholic too...most expected their orders tobe followed without question...there have been pukhuns, british, baluch, mohajirs and punjabis...they all usually thought they were some sort of demented reformers...a few were respected...others were reviled/ coup plotters...generally well recognized...most had anti insurgency attitudes and most interfered with governance...they sort of developed the army into a role model for soceity which is hard to emulate..the recent one had to deal with
criticism of all sorts and could not handle it well...in the old and new days army opponents or rebels/insurgents/erring politicians used to disappear or get sodomized...the present days saw insurgents being retrained and introduced into soceity as well...there have been more complaints about their corruption in recent times...eg. ayub khan got 35 acres in hazara against a 2 canal plot acquired by the502 workshop..there is a famous $900000 cheque that ayub khan got from the american CIA......musharaf was paid 20 million for a book written by three serving brigadiers and retired to live in a flat in england protected by six commandos...where apparently he spent his time drinking whisky sours....recently the asim bajwa case came to light and QJ bajwa's daugher in law /wife acquired huge number of supposedly dubiously acquired plots/farmhouses..similarly Kiani's tribe owns numerous plots in Rawalpindi's DHA commercial areas and is also reported to own land/an island in australia...acquiring upto eight to ten DHA plots and three houses is normal...even Raheel Sharif had 90 million when he retired...QJ Bajwa probably over a 100 million...and at least two lived out there lives under house arrest...those who led the army under coup plotters are almost unknown apart from Musa khan,yahya khan and baig
21 Nov - 2022--helicopters are usually in the government/military domain in Rawalpindi...being near the airport a military helicopter usually circles the area regularly to see if their lookdown radars pick anything when somebody important is coming or leaving...when an army chief is being appointed a lt general usually goes by helicopter tobe interviewed or be appointed...we live in the middle between GHQ and primeminister house and feel it if a helicopter is flying to the primeministers house..today such a helicopter seemed to have flown over...it is just a gesture for us that a new military chief has been selected...
21 Nov - 2022--Factfocus a website ruby a pakistani jouralist which had earlier show the corruption of imrans father and imrans land wrangling and the toshakhana story has come out with details of general bajwa's family while in the office of COAS...Bajwa and his family and one friend were ordinary rich upto that time..however in five years they have become billionaires especially his daughter in law, wife and friend...they supposedly own Taxx Petroleum although much is not known about the company...Bajwa's wife started out with three small properties but added numerous plots and farmhouses all over the country during his tenure...his daughter in law apparently suddenly acquired eight DHA plots and lives in dubai...Bajwa spent 25 weekends in dubai but lived in hotels...factfocus says they have tax statements and wealth statements...the finance minister has apologized for releasing Bajwa's tax and wealth statements and asked his SAPM to investigate...their wealth comes to a healthy 12.7 billion with Bajwa's own bank holdings above 100 million...i suppose when everything is free u can spend on land acquisitions for your wife although she has no apparent sources of income...
21 Nov -2022--In the obscure selection process many say that Asim Munir's fortunes have been rising and he might be slotted in as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff a largely ceremonial position..Asim Munir left the DG ISI job after a few months because Bajwa apparently wanted his protege Faiz Hameed in the position or maybe imran did not like him or he wanted a professional appointment...it is also thought that Azhar Abbas(has a lot of medals) and current experience too... might be inching towards being a favorite for army chief...that would make it two shiites(sectarian affiliation is assumed) at the top...the army and the primeminister are usually on the same page but there could be a difference of opinion...at last two are considered closet confidantes of imran...and only suggested better abilities can get them thru...There is also a outside chance that number six could be slotted in if there are differences...the current ISI chief is at number seven..number six is mohammed amir..nauman mahmood is in the top five and the only one who is bearded...if all five or six collapse than the current ISi chief Naveed Anjum could get a chance and he has commanded the karachi corp before and is considered better educated.....there are two corp commanders peshawar, two former ISI chiefs, two corp commanders gujranwala and two who have commanded the rawalpindi corp...only faiz hameed i think has commanded two corps peshawar and bahawalpur...nauman mahmood who was running the peshawar corp is now head of the NDU..most have KP tribal area conflict experience but not many have the india experience of Azhar Abbas/ shamshad mirza..there are several DG MI's in there...mirza i think has been DG mi, DG operations, CGS and heads the tenth corp... ...before General kayani ISI chiefs were not considered for army chief appointments
21 Nov - 2022-- Imrans useless long march is stuck at Rawat and will wander thru Rawalpindi on the 26th to shamsabad where they will supposedly spend a night...Rawalpindi is dangerous because two primeministers have previously been killed here...Imran who will supposedly either be on crutches or a wheel chair(or hobbling around on a cane) wants the entire country to come and brave the Rawalpindi night cold...the march could end in Rawalpindi and there is really no point to go and sit on a highway...although many crazies(snakes according to Vawda) want him to attack the national assembly...as for surprises he may agree to rejoin the national assembly for the betterment of the country...!he might also accuse ARY networks for having sent arshad sharif to explore opportunities for the company in Kenya...methinks imran expects a more favorable army chief...by that time and has refused to talk to the PDM...The PDM on the other hand also has no real problems with a new army chief with Zardari saying all three star generals are capable and the Pakistan Army has a good promotion system...however a new general could have different/differing views to Bajwa and might be happy to intervene and advise/direct/assist on politics too...

21 Nov - 2022--Imran has been sufficiently softened to now suggest that the military and the US were not behind his ouster...he still however complains that they should have stopped the opposition from toppling him...most people now see little difference between him and them..one chor or another thieve they say..things like him running away with a Rs440 million rupee watch and the courts stopping NAB from cases against buzdar and his KP goverment and Farah who is still absconded with a billion...as far as the military is concerned they apparently did arrive for a farewell call in the middle of the night but apparently there was no consensus...

17 Nov, 2022--The appointment of the army chief is a important issue with even a retired Ltgen Manj being consulted(by Bajwa) but it has become a point of contention and is regarded as complicated with all contenders not being exclusively different and there are political repercussions and complications. Four of the lt generals were anointed as contenders when they were promoted to Lt gen status a few years ago...a couple more have also been added...plus a status quo if it becomes too difficult to pick one...some have suggested an extreme step of a Bajwa being retained in the interim until a decision is reached....Imran suggested that they are looking at the army chief appointment from the fringes and he is only suggesting that the big two Nawaz /Zardari should not be consulted...now he and nawaz are similar ...disqualified and out of power...discussing things with senior party figures is not something unheard of...the army chief appointment is being talked about on the streets ...the two old men of politics have been round for much longer than imran... nawaz has also made several army chief appointments in fact all made by civilian primeministers barring some in the ZAB era......good or bad...imran and zardari have given extensions only...!imran had earlier seemed to suggest that the generals did not have merit/were unpatriotic and later backed away from supporting Bajwa and Faiz Hameed..there is also his earlier view that he did not know many/any generals...he also said that he is not directly critisizing the generals personally...ie now...Nawaz has appointed the last two army chiefs anyway...and they were good enough...and also appointed musharaf who turned out tobe a coup plotter...earlier it was thought that the USA approval was sought for such appointments..now we usually discuss things with the chinese/saudi...!also extremely the president can hold up a appointment for some time...
These two above pictures signify the change...the earlier bonhomie and now the gun attack..the gun attack while disturbing(freedom to shoot as well) has changed things and many say changed views and a calmer approach is somewhat evident...
17 Nov, 2022--in signs that the gun attack might have jogged his memory/softened him imran now says that he does not blame the US for his removal and inter alia Donald Lu is a nice guy...not a villain...The USA says that there was no truth in imrans allegations and suggested that they have no favorites in the pakistani democratic process...suggesting that some negotiations may have taken place...it now seems that on the moscow visit both Putin and the USA suggested that he/they should be wary/careful...and that the USA definitely saw it as unfriendly...one has found it hard to fathom imrans narrative since both the US and Russia are major powers...Imran almost created an unfriendly animosity prone attitude to the west/saudia compared to russia/iran which many think was a reflection of the attitudes of the pukhuns/religious groups( shiites and religious followers /groups like the JI) associated with him..many think that his US monetary contributers were more important to him in his change of attitude
17 Nov, 2022--a UAE businessmen has emerged who claims that a $4-5 million watch gifted to imran khan by prince Mohammed was sold to him for $2 million by a Farah/Shahzad Akbar duo of dubious imran related corrupt personalities...shahzad akber also transferred bahria payments to the tune of 500 million to imran......while imran says that most of the 54 gifts were valued below Rs30000 and retained... he sold four very expensive gifts for 58 million..just one wrist watch apparently was sold for over 400 million...it is suggested in earlier reports that imran made over150 million in selling gifts...he has been disqualified for not mentioning the money earned in his election statements...money minting from govt association is largely regarded as corruption...
