Apr9-2025--many think that the government does not know even the names of special substances and valued minerals that are valued highly by even the USA...gold and copper are old hat...as for oil and gas there is just not enough oil and gas yet or we would have tankers leaving our ports rather just coming in.the only find of any real value is let's say coal which is being rejected worldwide for its environmental problems...

Apr8-2025--The SHC gave a strange judgement that the centers member to Irsa must be a sindhi...?giving ethnicity-based decisions is very abhorrent...the water will only go to the canals when available rather than the current scenario...Punjab's canals are Punjab business, and they can share water among themselves...it is already known that no construction is ongoing on any new Indus canals...most Punjab canals are based on Punjab rivers apart from i think two canals in thal and a link canal...anyway water is generally apportioned according to availability apart from flood timed. The canals could easily be filled from flood time waters...The court should not interfere in Irsa decisions otherwise it could open a pandora's box and other courts too could stay water releases and apportionment. Maybe some court can give the decision that the Sindh member to Irsa should be from Punjab.

Apr7-2025--the governments apparent tariff reduction in electricity are dubious and fake...Nepra insists that the government quickly take actions on the Matiari Line, Neelum Jhelum repairs and Guddu Power plant. The Matiari line utilization is just 24% in February... while they pay for 100% capacity ...this causes underutilization of cheaper coal plants in the south and more expensive power plants in the north are used...Guddu was being run on a reduced mode causing a loss of Rs5.7 billion. The cumulative loss for Neelum Jhelum losses was around 23.7 billion in 2025...while this will hardly help the consumers work should be expedited...

Apr5-2025-- Punjab says the Sindh views about the canals is mere hype and it will use water allocated to Punjab for them...Sindh habitually overuses water even when there is a shortage and then starts a barrage of innuendo and complaints...Bilawal apparently thinks that Sindh has an overly larger federation role...the federation is not Sindh alone...maybe the Sindh chief minister and Bilawal want tobe made members of Irsa the water allocating agency...or want to force their own views on everybody else...only one of them can become the Sindh member of Irsa. In general all water from Indus flows down to Sindh after generating electricity and even extra water from the Punjab rivers...kp has a few canals and a small amount goes to Baluchistan. The water will start coming after the ice melts in summer and later when there are rains...at the moment only there is extra water from Punjab that Sindh can count on...the ice melt has begun but water rises in dams are minimal...Mangla usually fills earlier while tarbela inflows increase June and after...

He apparently made Atif khan head of the Peshawar party disliked as usual by gandapur...everyone apart from gandapur has said that they have made no statements against him although he himself says whatever he pleases...
Apr4-2025--the Punjab apparently military canal issue hots up...usually Sindh is always up in arms over water anyway. But this spring there is no water at all due to excessive use by Sindh and the Tarbela power station...new negotiations and agreements are needed as Sindh will have to share the Indus water more equitably with Punjab and other provinces as well...This year they also did not preserve 2 maf in the Mangla dam ...most of Sindh complaints are the usual hype as water cannot be generated if its use is not controlled all year round...from the Punjab side water also flows into Sindh as well as the Indus and Punjab should stand firm for its and other provinces share...apparently Sindh chief minister willing to commit suicide they say...Punjab will only lose the federal government, and maybe new elections will have to take place if the PPP cannot work out a formula with the PTI or even in the extreme a PMLn-PTI coalition of necessity...

mostly it is based on trade deficits...Pakistan imported $2.1 and exported $5.1 billion in 2024...it will probably make paki linen more expensive in the USA... EU which has a average tariff of 5% has been dealt a 20% tariff...Pakistan's tariffs are based on the WTO limits of 35-45%...despite that there apparently are a few tesla's in Pakistan...Pakistan now has a Japanese, south Korean and Chinese car base although a French car plant was also being constructed. Government imports European cars like Mercedes, BMW, Audi for their own security value etc... WTO should fine the USA and throw them out of the WTO. USA says Pakistan charges them around 59% tariffs...China has over 250 billion in exports to the USA and Japan, Korea and Germany have huge car exports...generally consumers in USA who like foreign vehicles will suffer most...some countries like Vietnam have been dealt massive tariffs...China also raised tariffs and announced import and export curbs...
