Oct27-2025--negotiations with the afghan government seem destined to fail/stutter as the Taleban refuse to reign in the TTP..there were some who claimed differences between kandahar and kabul however earlier it was said that kandahar supports afghan infiltration but now kabul too is refusing to acknowledge/oppose the TTP activity...the pakistan side showed pictures of infiltration groups who are seemingly led by the taleban...the afghans suggested talks with the TTP but the Pakistanis refused as they said that the infiltration had the support of the afghan government...almost all former tribal areas have substantial infiltrator groups..a recent report had said that there was a large concentration of TTP/Afghan militants even in Khyber the home area of sohail afridi...trade with afghanistan which is substantial in some areas areas has been stopped for the last 12 days however afghan migrants are being allowed to go back...There is no substantial price inflation in Pakistan due to the situation however some point to the recent surge in tomato/roti prices which went upto 500/600--20 as being caused by the trade blockade and floods...however there is enough tomato in the market coming from Iran and some places like swat and Sindh...There is some wheat shortage in Kp who want to get wheat in a free for all but the Punjab government which did not buy wheat this year is looking for stocks and restricting their movement due to expected shorages in Punjab and the flood situation which wiped local storages due being becoming wet and unusable..sindh is complaining of wheat seed shortage..Trump has offered to quickly solve the pak-afghan conflict...tomatos are a summer crop generally but sindh and baluchistan can probably grow them in winter

Oct19-2025-- SJC revises code of conduct for judges...they will now not be allowed to speak, write, debate or comment on controversial matters and on political questions even when questions of law arise...judges are not to interact with the media especially on issues liable to spark public debate or undermine institutional collegiality and discipline. When allegations are made public against a judge, they maybe placed in writing before a committee of the CJP and four supreme court judges for a response. Judges may not discuss administrative matters or reveal communications relating to personal or official matters. They are also prohibited from presiding over and attending social, cultural and diplomatic or political functions. Soliciting of conference or meeting invitations from foreign or international bodies is now a misconduct...such meetings received personally must be routed through the relevant CJ....judges should also decide cases on merit alone and possess the moral integrity and intellectual capacity to resist internal or external influence or when legal powers are lacking seek an immediate institutional response. Any attempt should immediately be reported to the five judges committee and relevant CJ...CJ's are to send reports before a three judge committee within two days...cases are to be decided as early as possible and adhere to fair trial and due process...if a CJ or committee fails to act in time the five judge CJP committee to take up the issue....!

Oct17-2025--dust pollution from construction sites causing pollution problems in Lahore...with work being stopped, the government should ensure that dusty areas are hosed down or covered... The basic reason for smog is that earth becomes warmer and the atmosphere is colder and particles/smoke seem to rise into the atmosphere from dust as well as burning of agricultural waste and fog... Lahore is surrounded by rice growing areas which burn waste to quickly set the stage for winter sowing...
