Jul9-2009--A frightened set of provincial and federal governments postpones local bodies polls and opts for administrators instead...provincial governments seemingly want to create their own controlled almost dictatorial local bodies which cannot overshadow them...local governments under military rule had performed well however their powers had been consistently reduced by teh chief ministers as they perfomed better than provincial governments who were all but invisible..when the law and order will improve is unknown so the people might have to stay under teh so called neutral or supposedly honest beurocrats a species not known tobe common in pakistan..worried provincial governments also did not allow a census to go forward not wanting their provincial populations to reduce their NFC funds

Jul9-2009--Yusuf Raza Gilanis support of the abominable carbon tax has many suggesting that people like him , hina and tareen would be better off working in the FBR rather than in responsible political positions ...finances and budgets are not only about collecting funds but knowing what the people want and keeping their interests in front rather than avoiding them at all costs.....

Jul9-2009--A dawn editorial states that zardaris criticism of taleban as the militaries strategic asset who turned against teh state virtually negates the reason for their creation to fight initially teh russian invasion and as a by product attempting to liberate kashmir from indian occupation/hegemony and fight teh US occupation of afghanistan.....one must realize that fighting teh superpowers has been a time honoured tradition stretching from vietnam to afghanistan even thought the super powers have eventually become successful as states like india , china, russia and pakistan have succumbed to US might and wealth..whether problems like kashmir can be and afghanistan could have been solved without force is obviously doubtful since zardaris mentors teh US are using that same mechanism their...if u cannot use guerrillas and in a similar vein jihadis and taleban to fight wars when your army is weak or frightened to fight openly... than your army must learn to fight teh countries battles whether they be in afghanistan, tribal areas or kashmir...or elswhere since they supposedly have been fighting on a worldwide level..however one doubts that teh regimented army could have created a force that would be willing to fight it and teh country too..and whether the army can really fight a war is doubtful too
