- Apr17-2010--Zardari rejoices at being let of teh hook by the UN report on the Benazir assassination...many suggest that the UN looks at the politics and not at ways to find teh culprit or culprits..Asif Zardari an ordinary politician who failed until he married benazir is seen as having been dominated and suppressed by benazir who tolerated no obstructionism...having started out with the anti zulfikar ali bhutto ANP he is still seen as favoring the pukhtunkhwai's even going to the extent of bringing in an afghan immigrant as a prime minister and changing teh provinces name despite protests from the PMlq, PMLn and hazarites...many say he succeeded as he prepared for the day when benazir would either fail or not be around...whether he married in that interest or not he sure handled things well after her demise to the xtent that the parties workers are literally his slaves and not able to utter a word in protest at his devastating economics and inability to work for the country...his sindhanomics is not going down well in the punjab and he has favored sindh in everything from water to the NFc and autonomy and gas prices but is still not able to stope the jibes from qaim ali shah and farook sattar...the mqm recently admitted they were out to seperate karachi from pakistan and said that altaf hussain was working to divide the country into more provinces despite his support for the pakistan resolution which does not have any more provinces...many see his favoritism for the pukhtunkhwais and sindhis/mqm as being disastrous for the ppp in teh long run and many even have started to say that the PPP is naturally dead and what is ruling is the wadera-industrial--agricultural complex...The UN report apart from saying that PMLq and ISI conspired in ISI safe houses has not thrownup any new information...the new rumour is that somebody in the PPP could have been the trigger...since the PPP has not yet arrested or even investigated anyone related to the previous administration whether from the PMlq or the army or ISi or IB..others say musharaf was waiting to appoint a PPP wala( a mir sadiq in other words) as primeminister if she had been killed in karachi...that many say could have been amin fahim or gilani...others comment that musharafs orders were countermanded by Kiani when he took over but the orders were not followed..others say Kiani has even protested to the tribals at his orders not being followed...many say almost everyone in teh PMlq was saying that they would have her killed...other rumours suggested that word in raja bazaar that day was that another attempt on her life was imminent and karazai told her that too but she refused karzais advice to avoid teh gathering...still others say that sherry rehman told her bluntly to stand up and wave to her supporters/murderers...the top PPP tier seems extremely dumb to not have realized the situations seriousness...and the running away of her two top security men leaving her vehicle without protection...and still others say that the police kept their distance at teh gathering...real investigations needed...do we have such expertise who can question zardari whether he had said that he would only come to power after her death...or some say he said he would return after her death...?

- Apr16-2010--As hazara returned to normalcy after several days of violent protests the senate passed teh 18th amendment with minor protests against some clauses and rejecting the idea of new provinces in punjab and nwfp...The PMLq and PMLn ditched the hazarites and only twelve PMLq members voted against the khyber-pukhtunkhwa clause..21 votes were cast for retaining the party elections clause...10 senators did not turn up or abstained entirely
- Apr16-2010--There seem tobe several conflicting or controversial clauses in the 18th amendment which the News says could be overturned by the SC..one such clause is the party chiefs power to remove an Mna who votes against a party line...others say change in the nwfp name and judges appointment is in direct conflict with the position of the constitution makers...other clauses include scrapping of intra party elections...with a probably scared raza rabbani trying to save his party position..or how teh Cj has to consult two other nominees to appoint a seventh member of the judicial appointment commission..a controversial clause allows a PM tobe elected with less than a majority and without a vote of confidence...?..another clause removes lifetime bans on becoming mna's by criminally involved people...the cabinet can have 50 members and as many advisors as u please...?..if a national assembly does not have an mna commanding a majority after the passage of a presidentially ordered no confidence vote than the assembly can be dismissed...if a president feels that the prime minister has lost majority support he can call for a vote of confidence...if the judges cannot dismiss such clauses or the entire 18th amendment since the committee did not even ask experts to appear before it what to say of people than one can safely assume that the supreme judiciary is at best a paper tiger...?
