• Mar31-2011--A motor cycle bomber targeted a maulana fazlur rehman convoy killing two policemen and eight others as he was on his way to a swabi rally...the JUI leader regarded as pro indian has recently switched sides from the PPP to the PMLn...This as singh and gilani met for what many say is the childish conclusion that they will not break down relations again...India uses every trick in teh book to avoid real negotiations stalled for the last fifty years...
  
• Mar31-2011--pakistan lose to india in teh semi final of the world cup in a manner that seems tobe a bit better than what happened in the 20-20 worldcup...with dropped catches and a lacklustre afridi, calm but slow misbah ul haq and what maybe teh duped razzak and umar akmal...while pakistan bowled better and restricted india to an achievable 261 they literally gave away their wickets in an unbelievable fashion and i tend to believe that misbah and afridi the two seniors alongwith the below par razzak are to blame...teh coach did not play the second left arm fast bowler and umar gul, afridi and razzak seemed to lack the skill and bowled ordinarily against the indian batsmen but wahab riaz bowled really fast to restrict the indians...the batsmen that pakistan wanted to depend on ie the akmal brothers and razzak did not play as well as expected...and nehra coming back into teh side did it for india...one must say that the pakistanis showed poor skill as batsmen and those who pakistan thought could win them teh matches did not come out from under their helmets...a blazing inning was not there to win the match and the oldtimers and seniors must retire for the younger cricketers to learn their trade...the team should have propped up the newer players like junaid khan and shezad but they were probably suppressed by teh seniors and coach...a few sixes and fours were all that was required and one from each batsman could have won them the match...probably nobody stood around for misbah to get confident but in another way this is the third match that misbah has given away to the indians...afridi was always regarded as pro indian but the punjabis should have played better...shabaz sharif still doled out 5 lakhs to each player...
  
• Mar30-2011--Even teh sindhis are on holiday for the pakistan india match..improving their patriotism index...our tribal chiief afridi needs to bowl better and possibly hit a few sixes...afridi and umar gul are our best bowlers and maybe we need to include teh third pathan junaid khan as well...the indians are said to have a poor bowling attack and zaheer khan the left arm seamer and yuvraj khan the indian minorities have taken most of the wickets upto now...their batting is however another matter with all their top five successful and only dhoni performing below par...on the other hand the sri lankans have teh best opening batting...so pakistan need an inspired performance from bat and bowl to knock over the pundits favorites...pakistan have done it before and the indians are known to play badly in the finals but their performance upto now is that of a winner...so if the indians bat first we need to knock over teh top two and possibly contain yuvraj...if we bat first than we need to score in the range of 300 to have any sort of a chance...however many are betting that the pakistani bowlers could all over perform ...so a few brilliant performances from pakistan and a nd a lacklustre effort from india could see pakistan in a difficult final against sri lanka who are probably teh most confident side despite having lost to pakistan...the sri lankans are known to score heavily against the indians and the indians might be wary of their spinners which could help our team in teh phsychological context...

• Mar29-2011--The PPP a government reluctant at best in populist spheres has been making it easy for politicians to sit around and enjoy life...now they want teh SC to suggest that the bhutto case is fit tobe reopened...Bhutto was given a death sentence by politically motivated/opposed judges of teh LHC on military instigation...which was upheld by an SC subjugated by teh military...while Benazir preferred to have a sort of personal accord with the judiciary the present PPP regime has been constantly antagonistic while teh judges have been patting them down like a pet dog...teh contempt by teh sindh PPP is an example and various appointments judicial and otherwise..Bhutto was hanged for having a political opponent killed by his federal enforcement paramilitary force...The head of the paramilitary force a beurocrat gave evidence that bhutto asked him to straighten out teh politician in exchange for a typical relocation to the USA...similar to the Davis case in some aspects...The SC of teh time was moving towards a 4-4 judgement on teh case when the military straightened out two of teh SC judges one of whom than went into exile and teh other was made the chief justice for his services...The political motivators were elders of teh chaudhry shujaat clan and martial laws chief supporters the ANP and JI and obviously teh mohajirs...most of them now in league with teh Zardaris...just slot in the zardari regime for zia ul haq's martial law government......while others say the PPP settled the matter by eliminating zia ul haq..but than the same perpretrators eliminated benazir bhutto...the judges have to take in to account the various political scenarios...the government is now so terrified that it has been unable to take to task murderers in karachi and elswhere...supposed motorcycle killers get away when literally cameras are installed all over the place in karachi...the government should if it has the guts start to at least nab murderers and initiate accountability of at least the previous regime...
  
• Mar29-2011--Shabaz sharif many say like a dictatorial army chief only making it easy for himself to move between defence, model town and raiwind estate where he has his residences...a montrosity being constructed at kalma chowk at public expense(2.5 billion) and earlier a six lane highway to his raiwind estate shows the callous personal nature of development spending in lahore under teh PMLn...

• Mar29-2011--Yusuf Raza Gilani who drags issues along without any attempt to solve them going to india just to waste money and not talk on any issues says the government...it is at best comparable to musharafs failed agra trip..kashmir does not even figure in teh PPP mindset they say so frightened are they of teh indians...Gilani is similar in his powerlessness to manmohan who also is just a figurehead for the gandhis...

• Mar28-2011--PPP regime admits its failure on electricity supply...since 1982 they are attempting to save electricity and pakistanis only breathed electricity for few years after benazirs rule...now they again want two holidays...these measures and tariff hikes wont solve anything...
  
• Mar28-2011--In what may signal the gilani demise...a weak and unpopular primeminister attempts to associate with a public event in the hopes of riding home on the ponytails of a cricket victory...zardari opted to stay home ke donon akathe he agay na chal paren...The PPP prepares a grand welcome home ceremony if pakistan wins and a slinking back home if they lose...musharaf also lost or was destroyed after teh agra failure...teh truck and bus service to srinagar never caught on...maybe gilani will get permission to start an airservice to srinagar......that would be good publicity...if pakistan lose Gilani maybe buried for good and there will be no need for him to return...

• Mar27-2011--The PPP generally pro indian inits attitude bravely to take up the issue of indian terrorism in karachi, balochistan and fata...how rehman malik will talk to his indian counterparts is a funny topic given his in country attitude of only being able to intrude into karachi and than also unable to tackle the mqm's subversionary tactics...
  
• Mar27-2011--The PPP's top guns unsure of how they will tackle manmohan if their team slides to defeat if the two attend the india-pakistan world cup semi final...a defeat will definitely rankle and will show the top two in a bad light and will be accused of a sellout...sending of a junior leader is being considered given the obvious embarassment if gilani-zardari are in tears at a defeat...many are suggesting given the reconciliatory attitude of teh gilani zardari duo a slap in the face will probably make them touch manmohans feet given how they take the mqm attitude which is very similar to indian tactics with pakistan...many feel the PPP wants to ape musharafs visit to agra and zia ul haqs visit to jaipur when teh refusal of any concessions by the indians made them go off to a tourist spot and a cricket match...what zardari-gilani will do if they lose the match is anybodies guess..probably say that we are here for reconciliation whatever the enemies attitude...
