Aug13-2023--Shehbaz sharif says he has always had friendly relations with army chiefs...recently he seems to have gone all in for the establishment and even brought in the army chief to a central role in a new financial forum the SIFC..a reporter questioned if the finance ministry had also been placed under the GHQ...there are questions as to nawaz sharifs role and whether he will come back after the SC killed the parliaments right to allow legislation on a review on suo motu cases... a review is a normal process on SC decisions and there is no reason why it should not be allowed on a suo motu decision...the SC gave bad reasons saying it is beyond parliaments jurisdiction and the founding fathers views cannot be changed...not something heard before...the present constitution has major changes from its original..many think bandial has gone bonkers

Aug13-2023--Anwarul haq kakar appointed caretaker primeminister for elections...apparently the name came out of nowhere and surprised the governing coalition...Raja Riaz the opposition leader says he had proposed the name while sanjrani is said to have used his influence too..he has been active in baluch politics in the recent past and initially stood and lost on a PMLq ticket in 2008 from qillah saifullah..he than joined the PMLn and served as spokesman for sanaullah zehri..he than rebelled and led a no trust move against sanaullah zehri who was replaced by abdul qudus bizenjo...he than became an independent senator and was instrumental in making the BAP whose the leader was said tobe saeed ahmed hashmi..the BAP won the 2018 elections in baluchistan...he was the chief spokesman/leader in the senate for BAP until a recent reshuffle...supposedly close to the establishment and was recently getting on friendly terms with the PMLn and ex cm jam kamal...seems to change loyalties quite regularly

It requires around Rs.140 million and the government has asked the MTA/bus service to repair it on its own...so the station is out of service for three months...things like the elevators, lift and some machines probably need tobe imported...

Aug7-2023--the government looking for an economic expert as caretaker even though there is nothing much to decide in a IMf run system...hafeez sheikh a sort of PPP man in the lead followed by a retired judge...elections which have been made doubtful are now an eCP concern who according to the interior minister can delay them for 120 days if required...the ECP can do the homework quickly and get the wheels moving even if delimitation is required...the ECP could move the SC to suggest elections under the previous census..and even an ordinary citizen could but the SC has quibbled in the past and has tended to downplay the ECP control and power over elections suggesting recently that it is not a constitutional body and just a forum...however if the ECP cannot decide than it is left to the caretaker government , army and SC to take a decision...The PPP says it will take a stand if elections delayed but they have no power under a caretaker setup...

Aug6-2023--Toshahkhana decision...imran jailed for three years and fined Rs.100000...the judge said that imran guilty of corrupt practices and concealing acquisition of the gifts in tax/ecp statements...imran arrested and shifted to kot lakhpat jail...the IHC had sent the case back to the session court for a decision...after imran filed various or upto six decision obstruction cases...imrans defence was weak based on what other politicos had done...he had accused maryam nawaz for taking a pineapple from the toshahkhana gifts etc...while other leaders have also been gifted cars and watches and taken them...but they did not do so in haste or in the public eye and probably tax records were not that important in the time frames...in appeal to a favorable SC he might be let off despite clearly being shown tobe avaricious and guilty of acquiring wealth(loot and plunder) in haste...and at the peoples expense..imrans money mongering in acquiring billions in party funds and loot of SKMT funds and his inability to get along with various stake holders is the main reason for his problems...things like the $3 billion he doled out to rich textile type magnates at 5% interest under expectations that they will fund him heavily...

Aug4-2023--The digital census has gained importance..however many worry that the electoral rolls may not be ready on time...there are only a few categories that need tobe updated..mostly those who have reached voting age and those who have shifted to the area or were not listed before...the only ones complaining about the census are the MQM and JI in Karachi who feel that they have lost power or votes..mostly census do count all the votes and there are no complaints from anywhere else...they need a fast track system to add the new voters to the electoral rolls...you take the census and the old rolls...compare and update...i only remember one voter in lahore who ran around shouting that he had not been listed...!so the mqm and the ji can run around on election day looking for someone not listed...karachi is a very developed area and has problems that also exist everywhere like water and electricity..however nobody complains like the karachiites...
Aug4-2023--Toshahkhana decision coming up..Imran has been disqualified in the case..the appeal will probably go to the dubious higher courts...The apparent haste of imran and bushra to loot the toshakhana gifts is astounding...numerous expensive watches sold thru third parties and gifts worth over 150 million bought or taken for 10% of their value...it looks very much like a corruption mart for the dubious duo...imrans seems tobe sharing his corruption not with the people but his supposedly religious wife...

Aug3-2023--The shebaz suggestion that elections will be held under the digital census suggests a quick delimitation exersize by the ECP..given computerized maps this can be quickly done..however dividing the votes and seats can change things on the ground...also the ECP may decide to leave the delimitation as is and everyone can vote in the same constituency unless there are big changes in population...
