Sept14--A senior judge walked out of a JCP meeting convened by the JCP on methods of selecting judges...a system in which the JCP wants to end the seniority principle in appointment of CJ's of high courts...now five seniormost judges will be considered for appointment of a CJ of a high court...while three persons will be nominated from whom a new judge will be selected...Munib Akhter walked out after he was not provided details of the constitutional package and the non-attendance by the law minister...CJP and incoming CJ to decide the framework of the new laws...
Sept14-2024--The government has removed the special envoy for Afghanistan after a dialogue to subdue the TTP was not achieved...This can be seen in the context of the disappearance of gandapur after his speech at the Sangjani rally where he threatened women journalists and the federal government...he had earlier suggested that he was invited to meet the establishment...on getting back to Peshawar his tirades against the military have increased in intensity and threatened to go it alone on Afghan talks...earlier solo attempts by mullahs from the tribal areas and the JUIf chief have not succeeded...he thinks that Afghan puktuns would accept his views and stop TTP terrorism because he would say it in Pushto...?while puktuns are on both sides of the issue their language has no effect on the TTP killings as victims and perpetrators are from the same ethnic group in KP and Baluchistan...Imran has come out with the unsubstantiated allegation that Gandapur was picked up by the agencies/military/establishment...both sides have not said who Gandapur met...? Earlier Gandapur had suggested that he had contacts with the establishment on cancelling a Aug22 meeting...
Sept14-2024--The constitutional package that would allow every CJ a three-year term might come to the assemblies today ...while the government only needs the support of the dubious two faced JUI-f in the senate they are short of the 224 votes in the national assembly...a three-year term for the CJ of the SC would provide relative judicial stability as now CJ's serve only until their retirement...The present CJ has said that he will not like to accept a continuation of his term and a pro PTI CJ will come in November...the government could force thru the package today if they have the necessary support...!
Sept11-2024--The Trump - Harris debate came off as a very light hearted affair as Trump seemed very mild whereas Harris thought that everything had already been decided...Trump showing his age literally slow walked/ dragged himself in while the younger Harris was on him like a flash and pumping his hand....the issue of what color is Harris remains tobe settled...she came across as a light greyish type while not looking like other browns and blacks...she seemed to have some white mixed up in her foundation/ thinking of herself but she has no white heritage apart from a white husband...!her not having a child is almost like having a permanent abortion many think...the problem for the world is that women have to produce at least one child to keep the world going...she came across as weak on inflation and has no real views on immigration...she said that twenty states had an abortion ban while Trump said that she supported abortion in even the 12th month... an abortion after birth is like leaving a baby in a garbage bin or as in Pakistan on a garbage heap...anyway everyone can go to New York for an abortion...even Pakistanis do that...!both showed that their policies would be decided in the white house...Trump seemed as if he had already lost the election which CNN interpreted as his slowing down...
