Oct14-2024--Pakistan finally found the courage thru new selectors to make some major changes in the test team...Shafik has still been retained despite a first ball duck and failing in three out of four innings...Haseebullah as the alternate wicketkeeper seems a bit sifarishi...
the Pakistan cricket team is usually a mix of the tried and tested and fresh inductees and a couple who can be referred to as sifarishis...the team has been failing in recent tests because its top players like Shan Masood, Baber Azam and Shafik are playing badly...Shafik got out in the first test to a first ball incutter...failing to realize that it is the off stump that has tobe protected. However, Shafik and Haseebullah seem the two sifarishis in the team despite having some talent...the new batsmen have been good in domestic matches...the fast bowlers as everyone knows have failed in the last few tests and the team is going to depend on seamers and perhaps three spinners...there are a whopping five spinners in the squad...Shafik maybe dropped down the order or even eliminated as the team has two good rookie batsmen in Kamran Ghulam and Huraira...who might make the top five with the captain, Saim, agha and Saud. Jamal and Noman ali are considered good batsman too...Baber Azam had started joking rather than preparing/practicing for a test match and focusing on the ball seriously. Whether the seamers and spinners can succeed is anyone's guess. Mohd ali has experience playing in Multan while the five spinners barring the rookie Mehran Mumtaz are pretty wily old timers and could have England reeling...Oct7-2024--a blast at/near the Karachi airport set ablaze at least seven cars killing at least two Chinese and another with a fourth in a critical state...police unsure as to the cause whether it was a IED blast or a ramming by an oil tanker...the Chinese vehicle might have been hit by accident they suggest...however the scene showed no oil truck and it could only be a car blast or suicide bomber...Baluchistan's Majeed brigade a terror group claimed responsibility...Baluchi groups have been involved in several Chinese attacks which many think is due to their takeover of Gawader...it is thought that the Pakistan government may have sold gawader to the Chinese who control security/operate the seaport...others have suggested that the Chinese may be looking for a site for a military or naval base at the strategic location...however those reports are not verified and mostly Chinese ships offload/load goods from/to the Chinese border in the north of Pakistan...other reports have suggested that the Chinese have been after a way to a warm seaport/warm waters which has taken the shape of the developing the KKH in the north and a modern road to the seaport...the Pakistan government has provided extensive security to the Chinese but individuals have run into trouble in various places...causing trouble between China and Pakistan...others suggest that the PTI which was generally wary of Chinese influence/control maybe behind the terror attacks on the Chinese...some have also accused the Chinese of being involved in retaliatory attacks in Baluchistan recently which also show signs of Pti/JUI involvement...
Oct7-2024--The talk of the day was the gandapur appearance in the KP assembly session which was supposed to protest his disappearance...he said that he was in KP house, Islamabad, but the Rangers only attacked them and did not notice him...!and he decided it best to rush/ escape back to Peshawar in a secretive manner...the Rangers said that he was not in the KP house..gandapur seems to enjoy roaming around on the roads which he did in Lahore and for the second time in Islamabad...others suggest that he may have been wearing a burqa as he said the rangers misbehaved with women...both sides apparently accuse each other of firing at each other...the interior minister said that they had long range tear gas shells and brought a lot of government emergency vehicles with them...the police have been said tobe firing rubber bullets...no reports of ranger firing in the KP house...the rangers enterd the KP house with the IGP...apparently they were asked if they had a warrant...they probably answered that they were following an escaped convict/foreign invader who was hiding there...
Oct7-2024--Announcing the death of a policeman, who was injured during rioting by the PTI protesters, the IGP of Islamabad on Sunday disclosed that the miscreants had damaged 441 cameras of Safe City Authority, 10 vehicles and 31 motorcycles of police officials and private guards.
Addressing a news conference, IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said Constable Abdul Hameed Shah, a father of three, had sustained injuries from stone pelting at Chungi No 26 and was also subjected to torture. He was hospitalized where he passed away.The IGP added that another 31 policemen were injured during rioting in the capital over the past two days, adding that the PTI protesters had damaged official property worth over Rs154 million.

Oct6-2024--The ongoing PTI protests and the governments vehemence to restrict them has resulted in widespread blockage with containers in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore with sections 144 imposed even in less important places like Mianwali... 600 containers were used to barricade 27 points in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The government called in the Rangers to protect the SCO meeting...with the PTI calling for the Indian foreign minister to address the protestors...a police man was killed in the stone throwing and firing of PTI walas...the government said that many KP government workers were arrested as well as Afghans from those who got to D-chowk...the main gandapuri led caravan apparently got to China chowk despite a trench digup of the motorway near Hasan Abdal and the government strewn nails and spikes to block the PTI from the KP...gandapur disappeared for the second time on reaching Islamabad...many suggested that he met PMLn behind the scene controllers and the establishment...others suggest that he had disappeared to meet Nawaz sharif while some suggested that he had passed away...he was reported tobe having a meeting in KP house but a raid did not find him...however asit turned out he had ditched the caravan and returned to KP...some condemnation of the PTI for trying to use an international meet to showcase their protests...of around 500 arrests twelve were KP government employees while a whopping 112 were said by the government tobe Afghans...The courts got mired in the conflict and seemed as usual to side with the Pti despite their aggressiveness and criminally minded threats/ and militant threats...they supposedly called for opening up the areas blocked and meekly asked for the PTI to be given a place to protest...one does not understand why they do not protest in Peshawar ...! protesting all over the place for the release of a person convicted of three jail terms is illegal democratically and shows a dubious intent to unsettle the country and destabilize it...
