Sep14-2023--Nawaz Sharif set to return to Lahore Oct21. a new CJ would have taken over who supposedly wants a greater role for senior judges in administration...whether he can ride rough shod to help him like Bandial did imran is something that i do not see happening...!Nawaz Sharif however thinks they might go easy on him...The pro Imran Bandial who cancelled the NAB amendment made sure that politicians would not have an easy life....
Sep14-2023--The president has suggested under an article of the constitution that elections be held by Nov6, 2023. The CEC cites article51(5) under which a new census requires a new delimitation...and quotes the elections law under which the CEC functions as stating that the CEC /ECP is solely authorised to announce elections...even than the president can only announce elections to the national assembly...the president also urges the CEC to approach the SC for a final decision...
Sept12-2023--Right from the day Bandial interfered in the matters of the national assembly as imrans controlled men on his orders decided that a no trust could not be held against a serving primeminister and that the no trust was based on a foreign powers advice or orders...at that point imran should have taken control and held the notrust which he could have won....whether having won a notrust a ordinary legal maneouvre imran would have announced elections is something many consider dubious...however imran and his party chose to walk out of the assembly and the no trust was passed and than began the period of instability especially the SC's interference in legislation and some say even rewriting the constitution...The SC gave decisions against party members becoming dissidents or opposing the some say cruel, ruthless, authoritarian primeminister...The primeminister attacked them in their homes, government resthouses and even the punjab assembly...That problem has still not been solved as the election date and when they will happen have started to create more confusion ...whether a person who has been a lawyer all of his life and head of the SC can make innocent remarks seems like saying he was really an idiot and not worthy of being a CJ..maybe the next CJ an equally combative person can decide the many contentious matters...
Sept9-2023--The SIFC which started out as a government projects support unit has started to behave as a overall economic supervisor giving decisions on tariffs and ordering people to pay bill and running campaigns to cut electricity connections...generally they have a negative attitude towards people and their problems...they think mistakenly i think that raids on currency outlets will bring the dollar down...!the army chief also seems mistaken about FDI and loans to government by donors or other's ..He apparently thinks that 62 billion in FDI came into Pakistan in 2015-2020...FDI is usually very small amounts in a few millions...if u want to delve into the economy than u must be clear what your objectives are and what u are talking about...the army chief also wants to privatise saying that over a trillion is spent on organisations like PIA and railways...Privatisation of entities like PIA, railways and pak steel has already proven tobe difficult...earlier they were talking about 25 billion in investments from UAE/Saudi...privatisation of railways in the UK showed that ticket prices qudrupled...nobody will buy PIA so it should be just wound up and the planes given to the number of private operators who can easily use them to run domestic services...railways and PIA both suffer from subsidies to the employees and to the army and students...
Sept5-2023--kakar and the IMF will surely go to hell for threatening the economic lifeline of the pakistanis...this caretaker is threatening non bill payers while discos in quetta and peshawar recover only 50% of bills...why does he not start from baluchistan...the government should be careful that punjab and karachi may also stop paying bills...one can remember the long history of bill paying...people standing in long ques and worrying about having to pay late fees...those times are over as bill paying is now not difficult and time consuming. However when caretaker primeministers threaten people and army chiefs suggest that they will explain to bloody munafa khor traders how the dollar is evaluated or just keeps rising...even countries like nepal can control the dollar or the UAE which has a fixed dollar rate for the last forty years...but not Pakistan ...we might have crazies in power whose economic thinking is terrible to say the least...if they have to seek approval for spending Rs15 billion than they should at best go home...loot and plunder in the sugar bussiness also continues as it was selling from 190-230 in various places...
Sept4-2023--recently the costs paid to IPP's were increased by Rs4.68...even though the iPP's were not making losses...wind turbines charge Rs.9 per unit when they have no operating cost...the biggest problem recently has been the dramatic rise in LNG costs which now work out to Rs.50 per unit...capacity payments are another loot and plunder...the country should only generate hydel,natural gas, solar and nuclear to not waste money on expensive fuels or even the environmentally bad coal...the west and china are giving up coal but here they are starting to use it...!..that maybe possible in 2030 when hydel maybe 50-60% of generation...upto than costs are only set to escalate...despite massive tariff hikes the government announced FCA for the next two months...as to the percentages of what people are paying for losses of the power sector that maybe a colossal 25% of the tariff...free electricity maybe 1%...army bulk purchases are at Rs8 per unit for which people might be paying an additional Rs.5...people had to pay another Rs4 for operation and maintenance cost of power stations...so in overall thinking Nepra is just a tool to loot the people...the government can easily setup a few 100 mW in solar power every month...giving subsidies and tax relief on domestic solar connections may save more electricity too...when going down the motorway one sees all agriculture having solar tubewells...the government needs to do the work and not only on the tariff side...the government could also pay to have solar airconditioners...which have recently come onto the market...in california solar cells are provided free...
Sep4-2023--Dawn analyzes the PMLn leaders rest and recreation in London and imrans escape to a jail......while Nawaz Sharif has legal problems forcing him to stay in London...shehbaz many say is nearing a decision to retire from politics...their short stint in power suggests that they are unaware of peoples problems and thinking...all they can think of are fiscal problems and imran...the peoples protests in the electricity tariffs maybe political but the problems are real and their effects are all anti PMLn...Khawaja Asif suggests that they live in their constituencies and contest the growing anger and frustration of the people...have not seen anybody from the PMLn at grassroots level in Rawalpindi barring Maryam Nawaz doing some organizing in KP...many think it is the right time for the Sharifs to resign from politics and leave their tottering empire to Maryam Nawaz or some other senior leader...the country worries about tariffs, IMF and price escalation...things that are not in the rich mans mind...the people had no problems with default as the situation has not changed...but they do have problems with paying much higher electricity bills, buying atta, medicines etc....naan prices are all over the place and one avoids buying a milkpak for 270...literally going to shop is a harassing deal as prices of everything including medicines have tripled..and the governments are flinching at supporting even the sehat card...apparently 90000 people were rejected in Rawalpindi at hospitals for sehat card treatment...from everyone being allowed now only Bisp types probably can get treatment...eye operations have stopped as they say the lenses used are of low quality...with imrans 'me-me/vile influencer' approach the PDM government only thought about IPP's, agriculture landlords and Discos...they have no interest in the people...the people should also look into other parties that have emerged...
