Jan15-2023--with the governor refusing to sign a dissolution order the PTI in a dubious move automatically dissolves the punjab provincial assembly within 48 hours of request for no particular reason...initially the PMLn had challenged them to dissolve the assemblies if they are interested in elections...the PTI probably thought that the center would also follow suit but that is not expected...they probably thought staying in the assembly was counter productive..a caretaker chief minister has to be selected in which pervaiz elahi and hamza shebaz will offer three names each to the governor...if a name is not agreed upon than four names go the election commission who will select one...while the PTI is more organised it remains tobe seen how the PMLn and PPP catches up in nominating and participating in elections and whether they cooperate between themselves

Jan13-2023--Pervez elahi issues request to governor to dissolve the punjab assembly...the assembly was becoming a bone of contention between imran and pervez elahi with wrangling to take no trust or not...pervez elahi probably running away from amalgamating his party into the PTI...!although he says he is not opposed to it and will become a major PTI leader on whom imran depends...and obviously there choice of a powerful chief minister since imran incapable of depending on his parties main leaders...

Jan1-2023--No change in sight for PTI politics of..."judge sahib mujhe mara bachao"...Islamabad LG polls now subject of dispute as ECP did not hold them after the government increased UC's from 101 to 125 despite a court order on the 30th..ECP submitted its reasons for not holding them yesterday while the federal government challenged the IHC decision for holding them as hasty...the PTI on the other hand filed contempt charges against the federal government and ECP...The IHC had refused to find cogent reasons for increasing UC's and in literally fast action ..writ petitions filed on 28th..taken up the same day and respondents asked to appear on 29th... at 2:30 pm...and made the decision on the 30th...ECP technically could not arrange elections in one day as it had neither ballots, transport or security or the 14000 staff required....they said they also needed 1000 vehicles...!

Jan1-2023--floods, ukraine war, high imports and unprecedented inflation are causes for pakistani problems plus the dollar...reserves are falling fast and defaults are presumed as inevitable...one suggestion to help ease the problems is reduce taxes massively, reduce imports, end development and provincial allocations and raise BISP payouts...other suggestions are to beg IMF to layoff...the market version of the exchange rate is not helpful and pakistan should try the fixed exchange rate...again..controlling imports is imperative...Pakistan is already doing its maximum to increase exports but still failing as bangladesh taka despite being more expensive has more exports...resources and factories for exports are already at full capacity...This is a pattern similar to past IMF doles ...revenue collection fell in December by Rs.225 billion...steel bar prices Rs235000 per ton
